Design questions on creating digg.com-like URLs (are they considered RESTful?)
Hi everyone, I''m working on creating a site that functions similar to digg.com (please no "no more digg clones" remarks please! :) ). One thing I really like about digg is there URLs are very nice to read and I would like to emulate that without having a lot of actions spread out all over my application. So in my app I have three main resources: Users, Tags, and Items

New Rails site: Smatchy.com
A newly released site developed entirely in Rails, known as Smatchy (www.smatchy.com), presents an interesting take on recommendations and could become the standard rather than the exception. The recommendations were more useful than typical sites, especially the ''Unique Recs.'' More info here...

I am wanting to do something like digg but internally at our company and am looking for a rails based starting point. There is something out there called pligg which seems pretty good, but it is PHP based and I expect to be making quite a few changes/additions, so would really prefer a project based on rails ! - hope to hear from you --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You

Display note when MouseOver Input form
I''m using Rails 3, Formtastic an Jquery. I would like to display a "floating" note when an input field gets focus. A good example is when trying to submit a story on digg when you are not logged in. AstPligg
Hello list, AstPligg is a new Digg-like website devoted to * and VoIP news. At the moment, it's in beta stage and very basic - no fancy custom templates. Mongrel 0.3.20 -- 5 Hours Deadline
Another fancy release with just a few little changes from yesterday: * Set-Cookie, Set-Cookie2, Warning, and WWW-Authenticate are allowed as duplicate headers. * mongrel_rails stop now has a --wait option to go with --force. It will wait for either the given timeout in SECONDS or the PID file to go away. If the PID file goes away it just exits. If the timeout happens then it does a kill -9 on
