Speex + Ogg package
sorry, no webchat, is a videoconference program. And I'm using UDP as you can read down on the mail. The problem is that speex packages alone work great, but to split speex/theora packages on the arrive I need to use some kind of container, and I'm trying ogg. Speex + Ogg package
I'm currently working on a speex + theora webchat. I have both working alone, but to make them work together and to know where the package goes, I'm trying to use ogg packages. With theora there has been no problem, but with speex I can't make it work. The problem is that for a second it works great, but then it begings to gain lag, and in a little time it has 5-10 lag seconds (into

VideoConference program
Well, finaly I have something pretty usable working. Actually it only works if you have installed .Net 2.0 but I'll try to fix this and add a Linux and OS X version. Try it and give me some feedback :P http://www.alu.ua.es/j/jma27/VideoChat.rar -- http://www.apple.com A veces me da por ahi. Encoder init
Well, as you may have seen from my previous messages, I'm doing a webcam stream program. The encoder is working well right now, but I'm having some hard time with the decoder. I know the parameters used in the encoder, and they are not gonna change, so I want to init the encoder directly into the client. The problem is that if I give the values to theora_info and after that I call

Speex + Ogg package
If by webchat you mean anything interactive, then I can already tell you what the problem is. TCP+Ogg. For anything real-time, you want UDP/RTP without Ogg. Also, you need to take into account the fact that computers do *not* have accurate clock and their soundcards drift. None of these problems are fatal, but you need to take that into account in the design. Jean-Marc On Mon, 2006-08-07 at

ogg only encoding
So, I abandoned the hope of using the ogg python bindings to do pure ogg container encoding. I started looking at the libogg in the hopes of retooling the bindings to follow a better object model and it actually looks like the problem is down in libogg, not the bindings. Am I crazy or does libogg rely on libvorbis to return ogg_packets, and that there are no functions that will build an ogg_packet

c++ Wav->ogg encoder
Hi I'm new with ogg and also with using third party libraries. I'm making a C++ PocketPC program and I need a simple wav->ogg encoder function. But as I have tried to use ogg vorbis libraries I don't know what or how to use them. I think that best way would be to use libogg 1.1.3 and libvorbis 1.1.2. Do I even need both of them, since I only need to have capability of

FFmpeg Theora encoding patch
Hi, Attached is my patch to add theora encoding to ffmpeg's libavcodec (by using libtheora). I am requesting help to fix the bug I mention below and am seeking general comments before I submit the patch properly. Files encoded using this encoder have a problem playing in VLC. The files will not play unless "Drop late frames" has been unticked in the advanced video settings.

Theora 1.1 rate controller
Hello everyone, I'm currently developing an adaptive videoconferencing application based on Ekiga which uses TFRC as a congestion control mechanism to adapt the video encoding rate according to the quality of the network experienced. My goal was to use the open-source Theora codec for video transmission. Unfortunately, it seemed that Theora 1.0 did not properly implement any correct CBR mode.

Theora encoder performance
I'm evaluating some video codecs for a online conference system. I'm encoding images (640x480) from a webcam. I've been playing around with theora and xvid. First of all, using theora, the decoded image looks strange: http://integrasoft.ro/~mgliga/theora/comparison.png <http://integrasoft.ro/%7Emgliga/theora/comparison.png>. ogg packets get lost
Hi, I am actually working on a c++ wrapper for ogg/theora. It will be a small library to easily create command line tools to cut/cat video-files and to extract and join the video and audio stream etc. However, I started the project and found some very strange behaviors: I stored some ogg_packet objects (which are created on the heap) in a list. When I make several calls to ogg_stream_pagein()

Ripping theora stream
Hi, I'm new to this mailing list. I'm trying to save a theora stream into an OGG file (or something else). I've the theora packets received from a VoIp application (over RTP). I'm able to convert a single frame to a jpeg image but I've no idea about how to write video file. Maybe this is not the right place to answer this question but I'm loosing my mind reading specs

Using decoding vorebis from a Vorbis / Theora Video
I am trying to write a media player in c# which will be able to play .ogg video files which contain Theora video and Vorbis audio streams. Currently I am using LibOgg and LibTheora (via a SWIG generated wrapper). This currently is able to decode the video and output it to the screen. I would like to use LibVorbis to decode the audio stream. Looking at the documentation it looks like I have to use

ogg encoding
I was wondering. When doing ogg only encoding, how do you mark end of stream? I am setting ogg_packet.e_o_s and then submitting it via ogg_stream_packetin() and then, because its the last potential page ogg_stream_flush()ing it. But when I walk through the file, EOS is not set on that logical bitstream. I have been using oggenc.c/encoder.c and oggdec.c/decoder.c for examples, but because the
