Error while cross compiling libvorbis 1.2.0
Dear All, I am trying to cross compile the dependencies of ices for arm linux. I have been able to compile libxml2 (2.6.32) and libogg (1.1.3) successfully but I am getting stuck at compiling libvorbis (1.2.0). Making install in examples make[1]: Entering directory `/home/sr/armlinux/stream/libvorbis-1.2.0/examples' /bin/bash ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link /usr/local/arm/bin/arm-linux-gcc

Problem creating ogg comment header for theatrical/stage/disco lighting stream
Hi, I am creating a new ogg stream for theatrical/stage/disco lighting and am having trouble encoding my comment header with the following code in _tp_writelsbint function, it does not write the second byte to the ogg buffer. I am using windows and have created a new win32 library project with visual studio and added my code, what do i have to do to get the function working? Is there a project

AMD64 bug
The theora_unpack_comment casts a pointer-to-int to pointer-to-long. This is incorrect on AMD64, where ints and longs are of different size. On my system (Debian unstable, gcc 4.1) this causes players to crash when they reach the end of a movie. The patch below fixes this bug. --- libtheora-0.0.0.alpha7/lib/toplevel.c 2006-06-13 00:57:36.000000000 +0200 +++ libtheora-pdw/lib/toplevel.c

More Missing Pieces
Hi, I am making good progress on understanding, documenting, and re-implementing VP3. I have found some more deadwood in the decoder code and I just wanted to verify that it really has no place: * Version 3.3 tables: There are 2 sets of VLCs: One for v3.1 and one for v3.3. The v3.1 set is always selected. Are the v3.3 tables in production, or will they ever be? * DC Search Points: VP3

encoder observation
Hello! First of all a question: When you make the encoder tables (ie: mode_e.h) do you use the mapping0_forward function? Because you made the encoder tables, and after this you did a minor correction in the final beta4 ... (this correction was: additional[0]=fabs(additional[0]*scale); in the mapping0_forward function) (I see this was a bug, and the modification was correct, but this correction

Got a problem (BUG?)
Hi we run a util at work called 'bounds checker' and it came up with this little beauty: void oggpack_readinit(oggpack_buffer *b,unsigned char *buf,int bytes){ memset(b,0,sizeof(oggpack_buffer)); b->buffer=b->ptr=buf; b->storage=bytes; } Stack memory overrun: Copying 20 bytes to opb; Starting offset 0, destination size 4 bytes. This is in RC1 code base. Any ideas?

debugging question.
Hi, I am using libvorbis-1.0.1 and I am trying to debug the example decoder (examples/decoder_example.c) using gdb. I have compiled the source tree for debug and can single step through the program. However i am facing the following problem (which I think is more of C than vorbis) 1. after single steppig I finally arrive at the function shown below (in file lib/info.c) static int

a question about Bitstream Header.
Hi, I have a question about the format of Theora bitstream header. It seems to me that there are differences between the specification[1] (version 2004 Oct 1) and its reference implementation in libtheora 1.0alpha3 released at 2004 Jun 1. I mean that... please refer to Section 6.2 'Identification Header Decode' in that specification[1] and the function

Simple encodig sample...
Hi all. I'm Mat & I'm new :) I'm testing libtheora + libogg perhaps for a commercial product. I started watching encoder_example.c ... I simplified it for testing it easier. It seems ok to me but I have no experience with theora so I would like to know if my code is correct. I tried to debug it with Valgrind and I found 4 possible memory leaks... but I think they can be

libogg2 issue in revision 10730
hi all I found that in the revision 10730 of the libogg2 library it is impossible to do bitpacking. this is due to the implementation of the (at least) two functions oggpack_writeinit() and oggpack_readinit(). they both take an (oggpack_buffer *) as an argument and immediately erase all it's contents: void oggpack_readinit(oggpack_buffer *b,ogg_reference *r){ memset(b,0,sizeof(*b));

Fwd: Merging jorbis upstream and the cortado jorbis fork back into one
Of interest to some on the list. Anyone familiar enough with Java to know how we go about detecting/using/incorporating an external Jorbis build into the Cortado jar ? Or are we supposed to download sources into our tree and build the whole ? ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Hans de Goede <hdegoede at redhat.com> Date: Thu, 04 Nov 2010 15:31:31 +0100 Subject: Merging jorbis

Vorbis plugin for RealOne Player
Hi All, I am trying to build an Ogg/Vorbis plugin for RealOne Player through the HelixCommunity source. During runtime, however, I saw an access violation. I did some debugging and narrowed it down to the following function in the Vorbis source.. int vorbis_synthesis(vorbis_block *vb,ogg_packet *op){ vorbis_dsp_state *vd=vb->vd; backend_lookup_state *b=vd->backend_state;

Ogg Vorbis on PPC Linux?
I work for Terra Soft Solutions (makers of Yellow Dog Linux) and I'm trying to compile the latest cvs snapshot for inclusion in our next release, but I'm running into some problems... I'm using modified versions of the SRPMs included in RedHat's Rawhide distro (I only updated to the latest cvs, but the old version also experienced this problem), which compile fine on an x86 box I

ogg_sync_buffer() memory alignment
I am writing an Ogg Vorbis decoder for win32. I want a memory buffer which is aligned to the disk sector size (512 bytes on hard disk, 2048 bytes on cd/dvd), so that the win32 function ReadFile can be persuaded to do 'unbuffered IO'. Unfortunately, the ogg_sync_buffer() call gives me a pointer from its own, internally allocated buffer. I have found no docs to indicate that this would

Introducing ov_open_callbacksp and ov_clearp
Hello, I've been looking to the libvorbisfile and got into troubles when trying to use it: I need to compile it on a PalmOS and the libvorbisfile must be compiled in ARM whereas calling code is in 68K. This implies that the interface ov_open_callback is not usable because the OggVorbis_File *vf must point to something in the target architecture (ARM) whereas the caller cannot do that. As

Vectored I/O for libogg
Folks, the packets I want to place in an ogg stream are concatenations of two hunks of memory. Rather than memcopy() them into one then pass them to libogg, I patched framing.c to accept iovecs. The unified diff is 80 lines, minus the OS-specific stuff for defining struct ogg_iovec_t - pretty trivial. Is there any interest in it? Or is libogg frozen while all efforts are concentrated on

Ogg in MP4 file, Unexpected result from _vorbis_unpack_books
Hi. I'm trying to implement Ogg/Vorbis support for the MPEG4IP project. The goal is to support Ogg/Vorbis audio for MPEG-4 streaming. So far I have managed to make the encoder save Ogg packets as an Audio object in an .mp4 file. As a side effect, it can also save Ogg pages in an .ogg file playable by xmms, but that's no big deal. So what I'm doing is this. First the init part. a)
