Slightly OT : newsletters, mail formatting and netiquette
I would prefer simple text in tech and security related news but you are right - they are HTML formatted. I think it is pure marketing thing. people dump other stuff to remind you who they are and for a sort of entertaining us.
The same story is in OS desktop GUI including Linux. I use CentOS 6 and 7 and still do not like 7. Not to mention in the morning Win 10 with all its crap included.

tinc-announce mailing list
Hello Everybody,
I like tinc very much and as it is a piece of security software, I would
like to monitor new version announcements to stay updated.
The tinc@ mailing list is good, but there is a lot of random talk mixed
with the announcements.
Of course I could just make a filter in my e-mail client to highlight
the " [Announcement]" tag in the beginning of the subject, but it

[LLVMdev] Default to "reply all" for mailing list messages?
Hehe, I intentionally left out the group because I just wanted to cheer you
up and let you know that there's more than one "retard" on the list.

getting a value from a select list
I''m sure this is an easy question to answer but here is what I am trying to
do:
I am using this method:
@newsletters = Newsletter.find(:all, :order => ''name'')
collection_select(:newsletter, :id, @newsletters, :id, :name)
I can''t seem to get the id out of the :newsletter param. When i see the post
in the logs it has

[LLVMdev] Default to "reply all" for mailing list messages?
Ugh, just forget "reply all" again....
Does any mail client support "if this message was CC'd to {llvm,cfe}{-dev,-
commits}@cs.uiuc.edu, then always 'reply-all'"?
I just feel like a retard every time I forget to "reply all".
