VncHeadlessInstall
I just read the
http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/VncHeadlessInstall, and it was
easy to follow and worked like a charm, I wasn't aware of the anaconda
stuff...
And a suggestion: could the fact that the netboot iso is just 9 megs
big be emphasise... and maybee link to
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/CreateLocalRepos as a tips to save
bandwith net installs?

Creating a local repo
I have created a local repo, set its priority highest, and populated it with xen-3.1.0-1.i386.rpm and kernel-xen-2.6.18-3.1.0.i386.rpm yet when I do a yum list *xen* I don't see those rpm's?
Can someone shed some light on this for me?
Thanks!

Thank you: Wiki data for adding 3rd party repository, ProtectBase and Priorities
This is a public thank you, to whoever wrote the Wiki's for adding 3rd
party repositories, ProtectBase and Priorities. Clear, excellent, step
by step instructions. I did this late last night and I missed the thing
that Priorities is the recommended plugin, so I will change to that,
from ProtectBase. :-) Lanny

Getting 603 Declined after AGI execution
Hello everyone.

update of rpm directory
Hi! I have an directory full with rpms that are installed on some
machines.. what is the best way to update those rpms to the latest
version? are there more optimal approaches then searching for each rpm
names in an update repo and download one by one?
Thanks,
Adrian

Installing a single rpm package from desktop/browser on CentOS 7
Unfortunately, the GUI isn't quite set up to tell you what the error would
be. When you use `$ sudo yum install whatever.rpm`, the output in the shell
will often give you a clue as to what's going wrong--a missing dependency,
etc.

transform shapefiles in UTM to lat/long
Dear all:
I have a shapefile in UTM coordinate system and I would like to transform it
to Lat/Log coordinates (WSG84). The package PBSmapping contains function
convUL to transform between the two coordinate systems when data is in the
form of a data frame with attributes specifying the coordinate system.
However, when shapefiles are imported using function read.shape (package
maptools), a list

dyn.load inside a package in R >= 3.0
Hello,
I am trying to port a package that was built for R 2.15 over to R 3.0. This package has an Initialize method that uses dyn.load to load a dll that was built separately, and then uses .C() to make calls on the functions in that dll. This worked fine in 2.15, however, I see that now for 3.0 .C() will only search in the namespace of your current package. This seems to make it impossible to use

Codec problem from SIP to H323
Hello.
I have a codec problem to send calls from a SIP device to a H323 gateway.
First I'll explain the scenario:
- Asterisk 1.2.1
- The SIP phone can use any codec I want.
- The H323 gateway can only use g729 (cause it's not under my
administration)
- SIP phone has g729 configured, so my asterisk doesn't need to "transcode"
(I don't have licences for g729)
- sip.conf

[LLVMdev] assert in InnerLoopVectorizer::createEmptyLoop
I am seeing an assert when I compile the attached program with clang:
$ clang -fno-strict-aliasing -target mips64el-unknown-linux -O3
-fomit-frame-pointer -S test1.c -o test1.ll -emit-llvm
It asserts when LoopVectorize.cpp:506 is executed. It looks like it is
complaining because it is trying to zero-extend an i64 (type
Count->getType() returns i64) to an i32 (IdxTy).

Can data.frame be saved as image?
Dear R forum
I have one stupid question, but I have no other solution to it in sight?
Suppose some R process creates graphs etc alongwith main output as data.frame e.g
output1 = data.frame(bands = c("A", "B", "C"), results = c(74, 108, 65))
I normally save this output as some csv file.
But I need to save this output as some image (I understand this is weird,
