libtiff with bigtiff support
Can anyone tell me if the current libtiff-3.9.4-9.el6_3.x86_64 RPM has bigtiff support built into it? I need this for tiling rather large images for the Virtual Microscope project I am working on, and I am having issues building the 4x versions that only seem to be available for F18. Thank you for any information you can provide Michael Weiner =================================== Please

libvirtd using 11GB
Hi All, Am new to this list, and have asked in #ovirt / ovirt-users list and they pointed me to here ... I've seen libvirtd using ~11 GB of resident memory after the host has been running for about 60+ days with about 40 VMs running on it. The versions I'm currently running are : libvirt.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7 libvirt-client.x86_64 0.9.10-21.el6_3.7

Is libtiff >= 4.0.0 now required by R for TIFF support?
We recently discovered that since R 3.3.0, on our CentOS 6 based cluster, R gets built without TIFF support. The last version where TIFF support was built, was 3.2.5. We have libtiff 3.9.4 installed: $ rpm -q libtiff-devel libtiff-devel-3.9.4-21.el6_8.x86_64 (Since CentOS 6 is so old, we have manually installed newer versions of some dependencies: curl 7.46.0, zlib 1.2.8, bzip2 1.0.6, xz 5.2.2
