VM boots BUT keep throwing: "INIT: Id "X" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes"
Hi, This is my setting: I have a Logical Volume /dev/VG/suse with Suse installed. I have added it to the grub and I can boot it and works perfectly fine. Now I am running /dev/VG/root which is running Xen0. I have created a Xen config file to boot a VM with disk: /dev/VG/suse. In other words I want to boot /dev/VG/suse as a virtual machine. Below is what I am getting at boot time :

[LXC] feature request - hostdev target
Hi, I am trying to mount /dev/tty5 from host as /dev/tty1 inside LXC container, but libvirt currently supports only 1-to-1 mapping: <hostdev mode='capabilities' type='misc'> <source> <char>/dev/tty5</char> </source> </hostdev> What do you thing about extending this by adding target parameter? It is easy to archive

LXC with RHEL 6.1
I'm trying to start a RHEL 6.1 container on an RHEL 6.1 host through libvirt 0.9.3. I've removed most of the startup services from the guest container, except the network and sshd. I can get the system to boot to a login prompt and can access the console through virsh; however, as soon as I authenticate, I get the following error message: Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified

Re: Can't get cable connection working on virtual router machine
Hi Ajey, I thought I already was doing bridge mode. Below are the network interface definitions from the XML config file for the Sophos VM. (Note that it's actually the middle definition which is connected to the cable modem which is different to how I showed it in the earlier diagram). What I don't understand is that the interface type says "direct" in the XML even though in

Hi Phil, But you said you disabled firewalld which makes me wonder if you have the necessary forwarding rules active. Re: Can't get cable connection working on virtual router machine
Hi, I'm not sure what sort of diagram you mean, but I'll have a try. Does this help? It sounds like I need to do something to enable routing on what I've labelled "NIC3" on the diagram - can you please explain what I need to do? Re: Can't get cable connection working on virtual router machine
does you cable modem give you automatically the IP address? if thats the case then you need to do bridge configuration between nic3 and macvtap dhcp ip and then you will be able to get dhcp attached IP to sophos vm - ajey On Tue, Sep 1, 2015 at 4:33 PM, Phill Edwards <philledwards@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, I'm not sure what sort of diagram you mean, but I'll have a try. Unable to xm console in a running domU
Hi list, I am running a virtualized server. Dom0 uses Xen 3.2.1 with Debian Etch and a custom kernel 2.6.21 created by my webhosting company. I install my domU using debootstrap for a Debian Etch with 2.6.18-6-xen-amd64 kernel. Everything works well except the fact that once the VM is started I cannot "xm console" into it. It only works while it is booting and while it is shutting
