PHP-LDAP RPM installed but not usable
I've also tried adding the pgsql and mysql RPM's and they're not
available either.

HP laptops with CentOS 7?
Hi
yeah, it's just a normal USB dongle, and it's supported by the Linux Kernel,
that's why I tried it. I have tried other USB dongles with Linux before and
failed.
This one was plug and play.

My vote is still for KDE
It's got a similar feel to Windows before it went pear shaped at Win8.
It's fairly easy to use.
He should be able to do most stuff as a user.

yum install fails - itertoolsmodule.so
Hi Paddy,
I was suspecting the same, and from the output below I think you're right. However, I was hoping I could just repair this problem for now, and worry about replacing the HDD later. I need to resume some services that also seem to generate this same error.

clamav / EXIM on Centos 7
Me again,
I'm still building my new mail server and I'm struggling getting clamav and

yum update (first in a long time) has broken clamd.exim
I have just run a 'yum update' on a Centos 7.2 server which updated several
hundred RPMs.
The update worked fine with no errors or warnings
I then rebooted the server and now my EXIM is rejecting emails because the
clamd service isn't running.
So I tried:
[root at ollie2 ~]# systemctl restart clamd.exim
Failed to restart clamd.exim.service: Unit clamd.exim.service failed to load:

Fedora 9 -> Centos 7 upgrade Dovecot problem
Hi all,
I'm upgrading my old F9 mail server to Centos 7 and all is going well.
However, I've got a problem with recently created users.
I've rsync'd /home and /var/spool/mail after moving /etc/passwd and /etc/group
I used the default locations on the old F9 server, i.e. mail delivered
to /var/spool/mail/%u by EXIM and Dovecot using that as the inbox.
Dovecot then used ~/mail/

[MASSMAIL] Dovecot on C7.2 - secure internet access
I've tried the changes that I put below. Users are still able to log in from
the LAN.
However, despite putting the appropriate rule in my firewall allowing port 143
I cannot create a user on a PC outside my network.
I'm using Thunderbird to do the testing. Is there a better way to test my
setup? Thunderbird doesn't give any diagnostic data, it just says it's
failed to test

I would agree, unhappy Windows 10 user will be pleased by KDE, or latest
GNOME that is installed by default on CentOS 7. I also would add mate, so
if user still have mental ability to categorize things, he/she may be
happier to stick with menus arranged by category, instead of being forced
to stop using brain

Help finishing off Centos 7 RAID install
I completed the install as described below which went well.
I then copied the contents of /boot/efi to /boot/efi_copy using
cd /boot
rsync -acr efi/ efi_copy
I then installed grub2 on sdb
yum install yum install grub2-efi-modules
grub2-install /dev/sdb
everything ran as expected with no errors. The instructions then said to test
the install by powering off and swapping sda and sdb.

I didn't know there was such a thing. I've gone into
System Settings -> Workspace Theme -> Desktop Theme
but I can't find it anywhere. What am I doing wrong?

HP laptops with CentOS 7?
I've got a HP Envy laptop and I'm fairly happy with it. The internal WiFi
doesn't work with Centos but a ?5 WiFi dongle sorted that. Oddly, it still
stops working once the battery drops below 50% ish.
Mine is dual boot with Win8 which is pants. The biggest problem is that
whenever I do much with the config, e.g. when I re-installed centos, the boot
loader doesn't sort properly

Fedora 14, Samba and connection problems - passwords
I have just replaced an old FC9 server with a new FC14 server as the old one
died. Before it died I was having trouble authenticating connections to it.
Now I have the new server running I'm still suffering the same problem.
Setting up a user and setting the password gives no errors, but then
connections fail complaining about the password. It is very much a virgin
vanilla setup. All I

I have just tried this, and re-started fail2ban. It does not seem to have worked.

I have a minor problem with the PostScript generated by R-0.63.1.
