Bug#443908: /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/bind: [bind] unexpected RCODE (NOTIMP)
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.61 Severity: wishlist File: /etc/logcheck/ignore.d.server/bind After #437891, I got yet another new "unexpected RCODE", this time "NOTIMP". As I was starting to get pissed off, I copied the whole list out of lib/dns/result.c, in an attempt to put an end to my headache. If you insist on using an enumeration instead of ".*",

User can only login as admin, group policy fails the logon otherwise
I have a Samba 3.5 server that services seven Windows 7 computers. When the setup was originally installed, all workstations were independent systems and so all users had local administrative privilege. I have removed admin rights from all users but one. This user has a problem. We'll call the user 'dmc' though that isn't his real username. In any event, dmc is a member of the

Trouble with file shares on Samba 4
Hello all, I have a Samba 4 system setup with 4.0.0-rc5 working as an Active Directory controller for a set of seven Win7 computers, and most things are working. However, file shares are not. In all cases, if I add users to Domain Admins, they can access the shares. In all cases, if users are not in Domain Admins, they cannot access the shares. I've added users to groups that

nsd replies with NOTIMP when receiving a NOTIFY?
The primary (a BIND9) of a zone ("test.") served (as a secondary) by our nsd complains: Jul 16 17:52:45.796 notify: debug 3: zone test/IN: notify response from 192.134.7.251#53: NOTIMP After all, nsd implements the NOTIFY, it logs them and SEC parses the log file to run "nsdc update". Isn't it an error to send a NOTIMP? nsd 1.2.1

Missing inet.h and netdb.h for SCO
I tried to compile Samba 2.0 beta with cc under SCO 3.2. I seem to be missing the inet.h and netdb.h include files. Does anyone know if they are publicly available? Bind9 AD SDLZ driver failed to load
I installed Bind9 on a new ubuntu 13.04 server using apt-get install bind9 and am trying to integrate AD into it. Bind starts fine and will resolve my domain and computer names, but when I add the line include "/usr/local/samba/private/named.conf" into /etc/bind/named.conf, Bind9 fails to start. I have edited that file to ensure the correct line is included for Bind 9.9, and I am not

Samba ADDS DC krb5 and samba_nsupdate
Hello I tried on two vms on my vmware Workstation to use samba as DC. I want use BIND for dns system. To join the Domain had worked successfully after I recompiled the bind. It seems the zone are the same but Samba isn't in the ns-record. If I run dcpromo.exe I get this error message: This Active Directory DC is the last dns-server for the AD-zones. If I remove the DC the dns-names
