I am trying to connect to the virtualbox hypervisor through libvirt java binding. I am on Ubuntu 10.04 and I have installed libvirt-0.85, libvirt-java-0.4.6 and virtualbox-ose-dkms. I have configured libvirt project and its java binding at Eclipse and the default test of the binding runs properly. When I try to run a simple test in java with the connection: conn = new

Release of libvirt-0.9.0
As scheduled, libvirt 0.9.0 was tagged and pushed today, it's available from FTP at: ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/ This is a large release w.r.t. the amount of features and changes, and well worth bumping the middle version number. We are also getting closer to a 1.0.0 release ! Features: - Support cputune cpu usage tuning (Osier Yang and Nikunj A. Dadhania) - Add public APIs for storage

Release of libvirt-0.8.2
Following Dan advice, I decided to not wait for more patches and push the current git head as the release. Let's plan to have another release by this month end with the QEmu debugging and hacking APIs. The release is available as usual at ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt Quite a lot of bug fixes during the two months since 0.8.1, and a few new feature. It also tagged more commits as being

libvirt v1.0.2 fails to boot LXC container, but v1.0.0 works
Hello. tl;dr = v1.0.0 can boot my LXC containers, v.1.0.1 and v.1.0.2 fails. Paraphrased error message: "lxcContainerMountProcFuse:616 : Failed to mount ..../meminfo" I'd like to know if my host is misconfigured, or my domains, or ... why 1.0.2 and 1.0.1 are not working for me. I've been using libvirt for a while to manage QEMU instances. I have experimented with lxc.

Help needed regarding "virsh cpu-stats test_vm"
Hi, We are implementing feature called CPU separation in the platform. So, guest VMs will have dedicated cores allocated using cgroups (cgroups hierachy related VMs managed by libvirt). virsh cpu-stats command is not working in our platform : virsh # cpu-stats test_vm error: Failed to virDomainGetCPUStats() error: Requested operation is not valid: cgroup CPUACCT controller is not mounted It

questions around using numatune/numa/schedinfo
Hi, I'm running into some problems with libvirt and hoping someone can point me at some instructions or maybe even help me out. First, are there any requirements on qemu version in order to use the "numatune" and/or "cpu/numa/cell" elements? Or do they use cgroups and not the native qemu numa support? Second, are there any instructions on how to set up cgroups? I

Re: libvrtd-1.1.0 crashes when attempting to start some (but not all) LXC containers
Update: I am able to edit the XML in "dwj-hfax-dev" such that libvirtd no longer crashes, and edit the XML for "dwj-lnx-dev" such that it will crash. The presents of "<seclabel type='none'/>" near the bottom causes libvirtd to crash. I do not recall ever manually adding that to my domain. In any event, libvirtd should probably not crash due to the
