imap-login hanging when firewall blocks ssl handshaking
imap-login processes are hanging (using 100% of CPU) when connected from a client that is partially blocked by a firewall. It appears that imap-login is stuck in a loop trying to complete an ssl handshake. imap-login is working fine for other clients not blocked by the firewall (including localhost).
This is dovecot 2.1.10 under Mac OS X 10.8.2 (compiled from sources); the firewall is Little

PATCH: make local IP address available to auth modules
The attached patch makes the local IP address to which the client
connected available to the authentication modules; i.e., the local IP
address is available for substitution as %i for the mysql and pgsql
modules. We needed this feature to support thousands of our legacy
accounts which are authenticated by username/local_part (not the full
email address) and IP address (one per domain).

libwrap-ing IMAP and POP logins
Since I've been using this for maybe a year now, maybe someone else is interested in restricting IMAP and POP logins via libwrap.
In addition to the attached patch (against 1.0.5) to src/login-common/main.c, src/{imap,pop3}-login/Makefile.in have to be modified to link against libwrap.
Of course, the option needs to be integrated into configure in the long run.

[LLVMdev] GlobalValue.h:116 error
When I attempt to follow any tutorial for llvm and add the `llvm-config
--cxxflags --ldflags --libs all` line to my GXX_FLAGS, g++ chokes on
llvm/GlobalValue.h, complaining of an invalid cast from int to
llvm::GlobalValue::LinkageTypes. I receive this error under both Red Hat and
Ubuntu and the version of G++ I am using is 4.1.2.
Thanks in advance,
Jared

What's the JLG maintenance schedule? I should show you how to setup a CW Service Template & then you can have it as a weekly ticket. :-)

Wayne,
Thanks for the information - that looks useful for the future, and
would replace our option.

flac-dev Digest, Vol 116, Issue 15
I have an Intel Mac and I'd be glad to test it for you, but I'm not sure
how to use the makefile.lite build system? do I just replace the normal one
with this one? I tried ./makefile.lite but nothing happened.

bug on cancor (PR#116)
When I use the function cancor of mva package, I found that it doesn't
work when one of the matrix has only one column, or both have only
one column. The function in Splus 5 with the same name works under those
situations.
The version of R I am using is 0.63.2 (released on Jan., 1999) on Solaris.
