Syslinux 5.01 does not respond to keyboard
I am having touble using the latest syslinux. I installed it to an SD card and non-interactive booting works fine (using DEFAULT in syslinux.cfg). If I need to give input to syslinux at boot time (via menu, vesamenu or even just the prompt), it ignores keypresses. Syslinux 4.06 does not suffer from this problem. I am running an Acer Aspire One AOA150. The POST screen calls it an Insyde H2OBIOS.

C6 or C7 for an old netbook
I've got an old HP Netbook, which is just fine for taking with when I'm travelling, to check email and news. I have a very old Ubuntu netbook-remix on it, and it really, *really* needs to be updated to something current. I, of course, would prefer CentOS.... The question is: I see that *if* the specs I just looked up (I'm at work, not home, where I could just turn it on, but they

Wine on a Mac Netbook?
What can happen in this case? It has an Intel Atom processor (N270 in this case) and it's running a compatible OS to use Wine. But does this actually mean that it will run like on any other Intel computer? Thanks

OT: I fixed and it wasn't broken
Hello, I fixed it real good. I bought a Lenovo TS130 ThinkServer about 5 or 6 years ago. Folks told me, RHEL/CentOS would not run on this server. I bought it and installed it and it works fine. So, a couple weeks ago, I decided to upgrade the memory. At the time, the bios only supported 16GB but it would be upgradable to 32GB. So, I started adding memory and figured I needed to upgrade the

Football Manager 2010 - resolution on netbook
Hi I have little problem with Football Manager 2010 on my netbook MSI Wind U100+. I have Wine 1.1.39, Ubuntu 9.10 and FM works perfectly, but only in virtual desktop mode and 1024x768/1280x1024/1600x1200 resolution. My netbooks highest resolution is 1024x600 and i cant see bottom of my screen. I've tried to use netbook skin for Football Manager, but some of buttons are still out of screen. I

Installing Final Fantasy XI on Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix
Hello Wine Forum Members, This is my first post and I am looking forward to many more. My first initial question is: Is it possible to run FFXI on Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix? I've seen some earlier posts about running FFXI on 10.04, but I haven't found anything where someone would be trying on something much smaller. I am new with ubuntu and Wine. So if this is possible is there some kind

CentOS 5 on an MSI Wind U100 Netbook && RTL8187 wireless card configuration
Hi, I recently purchased an MSI Wind Netbook, just slightly bigger than an EeePC, and IMHO just one step above the mere toy category. It's got a 10" monitor, 80 GB SATA HD, and the keyboard is just big enough so I can type with ten fingers (with a little exercise). The thing came preinstalled with Windows XP, and I've spent the last two days figuring out how I could possibly

Related to the new laptop question: CentOS on a netbook?
running a cheap Acer Aspire one 722, 2gb ram, dual core 1ghz, swapped the HDD for a SSD. it's running fedora 21 LXDE. it's fast, powerful enough for working on the move and boots / shuts down in about 10 seconds flat. I also had Centos7 on here before but Fedora has better support for multimedia in my opinion. ran into one issue about waking the netbook after sleeping. ended up
