Here are the error messages written to server's syslog. imap(name at domain.com<mailto:name at domain.com>): Error: unlink_directory(/data/domain.com/name/INBOX/direct/.nfs00000000000033fd000000cd)

unlink_directory(....Trash.NewFolder) failed: Directory not empty
I noticed the following this week. No idea how long its been happening because I have not tested deleting folders hardly at all. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a folder "NewFolder", click on it in thunderbird so an index dir is created: ls -ldi Maildir/.NewFolder/ 1504062 drwx------ 5 mcdouga9 egrstaff 4096 Nov 16 19:44 Maildir/.NewFolder/ ls -ldi

Difference between Indexing and Rescan in FTS
I've had squat running on dovecot 2.0 and have been updating all users mailbox indexes nighty via cron with this command: doveadm -v search -A text xyzzyx I've just updated to 2.1 and I'm migrating to lucene indexes, but reading the documentation I'm having a hard time understanding the semantic differences between indexing and rescanning. Quick question. How important are these? Are the errors recoverable and not a big deal, or are they actually a problem? I see a few of these randomly over the course of the day. Segmentation fault running doveadm index (lucene) on a big mailbox
Hi, on a server running dovecot 2.2.12 I have a user with a quite big mailbox (~37000 Mails in the INBOX). I tried to enable full text search using the fts_lucene backend (dovecot 2.2.12). However, the `doveadm -v index -u <username> INBOX` always runs into a segmentation fault after mail number 24200: I tried to get a backtrace using gdb: doveadm(<username>): Info: INBOX:

windows live mail + dovecot and nfs

If I try to delete second one, error occurs (user, domain, IP address

Idea: Backend for Lucene format indexes
Hi, I'm interested to implement the idea of using search indexes build by Lucene. I have some idea of how to do that. I'm currently studying the index format of both. I have written an application of search using Lucene and now I'll do the same using Xapian. then I'll check the details of those index format and then find how to convert Lucene index to Xapian one. Is there somebody

GSoC 2012: Backend for Lucene format indexes
Hi All, I'm Billy, a senior undergraduate student in Peking University. I'm working in the area of Information Retrieval and Web Mining. When going through the idea list, I felt quite interested in the "Backend for Lucene format indexes" project. I have been using java-lucene for about one year, but my subsequent work prefers C++ codes. This project is very meaningful to smooth

If you don't provide an implementation of wdf_upper_bound(), the default is to use the collection frequency of the term, so provided that information is available in the lucene files, the lack of wdf_upper_bound information

Mail Archiving/Lucene Indexes/mbox
I have a script (available on demand) that moves all my mail for a given month to a separate NAMESPACE (#ARCHIVE). When I do that, the lucene-indexes folder in the PRIMARY namespace seems to get cleaned out, and NOTHING gets put in the lucene-indexes folder (although it gets created) in the #ARCHIVE namespace. Is this to spec? the archiving is done via doveadm move commands. Thanks! --
