Problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7
Hi, Seems like it's not linking with libm. I suspect it has to do with linking statically with libopus.a (is that intended?). Maybe opus-tools relies on the fact that libopus is linked with libm and doesn't explicitly add it? Greg? Problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7
Hi I'm having a problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7. Version opus-tools-0.1.6 seems to compile OK. I've tried with opus-1.0.3 and opus-1.1-beta. The errors are like this:- "undefined reference to `sqrtf'" etc. This OS is Peppermint Three, similar to Ubuntu 12.04. It uses:- gcc --version gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) 4.6.3 Google says it's maybe something to do

How to enable OPUS inband FEC
Hi all, I try to enable FEC in the encoder using the macro OPUS_SET_INBAND_FEC and I set the packet loss percentage to a constant value of 30%, using the macro OPUS_SET_PACKET_LOSS_PERC. Please find my encoder settings below: opus: encoder fmtp (maxplaybackrate=8000;maxaveragebitrate=24000;sprop-stereo=1;cbr=1;useinbandfec=1;usedtx=1) opus: encode bw=narrow bitrate=24000 fch=auto vbr=0 fec=1

Opus multi-stream/surround: Audio corruption on decoded content
Hello Everyone, I am using the opus 1.1 multistream APIs to encode a 5.1 surround stream on the server, stream it to client, decode it and capture the pcm data. I noticed that there was severe corruption/attenuation on one of the channels(specifically Back/Rear Right). This would appear to be the last channel in the stream. I am attaching an image of the PCM dumps from the original and the one

[PATCH 0/1] opusenc support for WavPack input
This patch to opus-tools adds optional support to WavPack lossless format as input to opusenc. Like support to FLAC, it depends on an external library, libwavpack, and may be disabled on configure. Opus Tools -- low bitrates, new features in 1.5, "expect-loss"
> To be clear: did you mean the opus output of opusenc > or the wav output of opusdec? I meant during the decoding. There's one significant difference between how Opusdec deals with resampling and how, let's say, MP3 decoders usually deal with resampling. If I make an MP3 at a very low bitrate and if the encoder decides (because it's too low) to internally resample my audio

metadata switches for ffmpeg2theora
Jan, Here's a hacky patch to add a few commandline options for setting comment header fields in ffmpeg2theora. It's a bit big because I virtualized the global info struct in theorautils.c. In retrospect that probably wasn't necessary, but I think it's cleaner anyway. I didn't test it because I couldn't compile ffmpeg2theora, but modulo bugs it should support

runtime reconfiguration of opusenc
Hello All, This is my first appearance to the opus mailing list. My name is Michael Mehari and i am a researcher at Ghent University mainly on cognitive radio networking. Recently i am working on a demo scenario on self adjustable wireless audio conferencing and i selected opus for the audio encoding and decoding part. specifically the applications (i.e opusenc and opusdec) from opus-tools

What exactly is threadsafe
Hey I am playing with a LOT of threads right now, and I want to know if the threads all need their own little vorbis encoders running in them or what exactly is threadsafe in vorbis? So here are the functions that would be called from many threads of with buffer = vorbis_analysis_buffer( &m_vorbisDsp, 4*DATA_CHUNK_SIZE ); vorbis_analysis_wrote( &m_vorbisDsp, dataLength/dataSize );

A few questions how to use libogg
1.) after initializing a ogg_stream_state may I just keep calling ogg_stream_packetin with valid ogg_packet's until no more ogg_packets needs to be added? Or do I need to call ogg_stream_pageout after every ogg_stream_packetin? Iaw may I delay calling ogg_stream_pageout until there are no more packets to be added? 2.) I assume I have call ogg_stream_pageout until no more pages can be

Simple encodig sample...
Hi all. I'm Mat & I'm new :) I'm testing libtheora + libogg perhaps for a commercial product. I started watching encoder_example.c ... I simplified it for testing it easier. It seems ok to me but I have no experience with theora so I would like to know if my code is correct. I tried to debug it with Valgrind and I found 4 possible memory leaks... but I think they can be

Opus Tools -- low bitrates, new features in 1.5, "expect-loss"
Hello, I understand it would be better to post several messages with separate topics but I hope I don't cause too much mess if I put it all in a single message this time. To be clear, recently I've been testing Opus Tools under Windows and these are my questions/observations. ????#1. To test encoding at low bitrates, I encoded a sine sweep at 12 kbps with Opusenc and then decoded

Problem with APC and Fedora 8 I86_64
I have been trying to get Nut working on a system with Fedora 8 i86_64 installed and an APC Smart-UPS USB. The 2.2.0 rpm does not seem to like the USB on this UPS. I have tried compiling the 2.2.2 version, from source, but am getting warnings. I have tried building it on my i386 system (f8 as well) and I get no warnings also the 2.2.0 works fine on that one with a TrippLite Omni 900 LCD via

opus_encode_native return 3 with setup_resample
?Hello. I am using OPUS on Android. I tested opusenc on my machine and it worked properly. Once I ported opus-tools to encode pcm raw data to opus, it doesn't work if I called setup_resample. I found out that when I don't setup resample, it encodes but not correctly. I'm not familiar with this code so not sure where to begin. This problem only occurs on Android and I had to log each

Use opus-tools on Android
Hello. I'm trying to use opus-tools on Android to encode wav data but I couldn't build it. I need to resample my raw data so opusenc does its job. Is it possible to use opus-tools on Android? OPUS is the first citizen in my app but not sure which flags I need to add to build this. LOCAL_CFLAGS := -w -std=gnu99 -O2 -DNULL=0 -DSOCKLEN_T=socklen_t -DLOCALE_NOT_USED -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE=1
