[PATCH] Moved the application of the pitch gain to (un)quant_bands(). This doesn't change anything to the codec, but will make the next changes easier.

[RFC PATCH v3] Intrinsics/RTCD related fixes. Mostly x86.
From: Jonathan Lennox <jonathan at vidyo.com>
* Makes ?enable-intrinsics work with clang and other non-GCC compilers
* Enables RTCD for the floating-point-mode SSE code in Celt.
* Disables use of RTCD in cases where the compiler targets an instruction set by default.

idea for a new algorithm
Hello vorbis developer!
I'm not very experienced in informatics, cause i'm only an audio
engineer and sorry for my broken english but i have an idea...
After the filterbank the maximum aplitude in each band decides
about the nessesary bits, then the psychoacoustic model decides how
much of the signal can be truncated without hearable noise.
What do you think about quantising the

Just a question on how things are going
Hi Jean-Marc,
I was just wondering if maybe you would consider a "blog-like" text file
in the codebase where you just jot down your thoughts about why you are
making a change, and where you think you are headed. For example, I
noticed today that you completely removed the pitch prediction code. It
would be nice to know if you did that because you're moving away from
using it as

ASM runtime detection and optimizations
I wrote a proof of concept regarding the cpu capabilities runtime
detection and choice of optimized function. I follow design which had
been discussed on IRC.
Also, i notice a little drawback: we must propagate the arch index
through functions which don't have codec state as argument.
However, if it's look good, i will continue to implement it.
Best regards,

So, trying to make progress on this...
On an armv7l board running Ubuntu, you've broken the build with just

Problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7
Hi
I'm having a problem compiling opus-tools-0.1.7.
Version opus-tools-0.1.6 seems to compile OK.
I've tried with opus-1.0.3 and opus-1.1-beta.
The errors are like this:-
"undefined reference to `sqrtf'" etc.
This OS is Peppermint Three, similar to Ubuntu 12.04.
It uses:-
gcc --version
gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5) 4.6.3
Google says it's maybe something to do

AVX Optimizations
Yes,
Thank you. I'll follow up with the AVX code and tests for pitch code.

Changes from RFCv1:
- Rebased on top of commit
aad281878: Fix celt_pitch_xcorr_c signature.
which got rid of ugly code around CELT_PITCH_XCORR_IMPL
passing of "arch" parameter.

CELT 0.5.2 is out
Hi everyone,
Version 0.5.2 has just been released with a few fixes over 0.5.1. On top
of that, the pitch prediction was both improved and simplified. The
other main change is a new bit allocation algorithm with better rounding
and fine energy allocation.
Have fun,
Jean-Marc

Codebook table
Hello,
There is a coodebook for the pitch gains stored in pgain_table.h. How can we get
such a table? I have read in the CELT's paper that the codebook is trained, but
I do not understand what that realy means. Can anyone give me an idea about
that?
Thank you very much.

Render Targets and Pitch Linear Textures in Maxwell/Pascal Question
So I have been going on over the documentation trying to figure out the
exact layout of Pitch Linear Textures and find some missing values.
First Question: What's the correct layout of pitch linear textures in
memory? Is padding of the pitch added at start or at the end? Do they have
some kind of header? Currently I see them as a normal texture matrix with
just pitch at the end of each row

[RFC PATCH v3] cover: armv7: celt_pitch_xcorr: Introduce ARM neon intrinsics
Hi,
Optimizes celt_pitch_xcorr for floating point.
Changes from RFCv2:
- Changes recommended by Timothy for celt_neon_intr.c
everything except, left the unrolled loop still unrolled
- configure.ac
- use AC_LINK_IFELSE instead of AC_COMPILE_IFELSE
- Moved compile flags into Makefile.am
- OPUS_ARM_NEON_INR --> typo --> OPUS_ARM_NEON_INTR

manual pitch modification
Hello,
When used in SILK mode, is there a way to manually modify the pitch (F0) of
the speech signal before resynthesizing during Opus decoding?
In the below, we have modified the pitch lags of (4), e.g., with a constant
scaling factor 0.5 to decrease the pitch of the voice by one octave.
However, the result was perceptually the same as without modifying the
pitch lags.

Celt_decode_lost function (File: P0773)
Hi,
I'm using Celt version 0.7.1 in low complexity mode (i.e. no pitch
information). In case a packet is lost i was planning to use the
celt_decode_lost function. I realised though it uses pitch information
inside.
Does the celt_decode_lost function still works with no pitch information?
Are there some changes to be done?
Thanks
Regards
