Win98 clients not 'seeing' each other
Hi there, I have a somewhat wide experience with samba. I've succesfully installed it as a client as well as a PDC on Windows networks. The last time, however, there has been an issue with the win9x stations. I've setup the Samba server over Linux to act as a PDC for the domain. I use dhcp to assign the network configuration to the hosts, and the only protocol installed on them is

Using user account information from another machine
Hi, I had no responses to my previous message about setting up a samba linux fileserver using account info from another linux box, so I've tried to figure out a solution. I need to have two separate servers, one holding the UNIX accounts for the users and also acting as a PDC, and a second one acting as a mere file server with a backup unit (perhaps a DVD-RW). All I want to do is that the

Redelivery of messages in Maildir through sieve to be re-sorted
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/RefilterMail That solution looks great for a single user, but is it possible to do a larger version that runs for everyone on the server? I'm speaking specifically of a virtual setup where all mailboxes are owned by a common UID/GID. It seems like (with brief testing) that I could search for mail inside of a "Refilter" folder, like

It's just stopped working! (1.9.18p8, IRIX 5.3)
Hi all, I'm extremely puzzled by the behaviour of one of my Samba servers. It's been working fine for yonks, and this morning (abuout 11:32) it just stopped. (mostly) Connecting to shares still works. Navigating the tree till works. Changing (DOS) attributes still works. But actually opening files and reading the contents doesn't work. The client just times out (Win 3.11, and

xi.rename-it.nl/debian/ dovecot-2.0 sieve problem
Hi, i used to use deb http://xi.rename-it.nl/debian/ stable-auto/dovecot-2.0 main to update dovecot 1.2 with debian lenny. I used the convert script to change my configuration file. Everything works fine but sieve does not work anymore. There is no error in the logs but dovecot simply ignores any filter. I checked the documentation/configuration twice and had still no success. Maybe, this

shorewall6: IP fragementation getting blocked?
Hey, I have a setup that has one machine communicating to a server using UDP over IPv6. For specifics, it is using collectd with a boosted MaxPacketSize in the network config. What this means is there is some IP fragmentation happening, and that is getting REJECTed. My policy is to REJECT, and I have an ALLOW for the particular communication I want. What I''m getting in my logs is

v1.2.beta2: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor
Hi Timo, I'm playing with Dovecot v1.2.beta2 currently. When the dict process was started via deliver(?) and Dovecot is killed (kill $PID_OF_DOVECOT) after delivering only one message, it logs: Fatal: io_loop_handle_add: epoll_ctl(1, 10): Bad file descriptor If the dict process was not started or deliver has delivered more than one message, the error doesn't occur. Can't get Thunderbird 2 to delete a folder under mdbox (Dovecot 2.0beta5)
Can't get Thunderbird 2 to delete a folder under mdbox (Dovecot 2.0beta5) I have built Dovecot 2.0 and installed it under "/opt/dovecot2". I have done the minimum configurations necesary to get it to work with SSL, systems users but with a secondary password database, and set up mail location as "mdbox:~/dbox". I had to create the directory "dbox" in the

doveadm -A operations failing due to broken mdbox
I'm using "/usr/bin/doveadm purge -A" to purge the mdboxes of my users. Unfortunately this command terminates prematurely once it reaches a defective mdbox! Is there a workaround for this? Like using doveadm to get a list of valid users and then run "doveadm purge -u" on each of those? -- [*] sys4 AG http://sys4.de, +49 (89) 30 90 46 64 Franziskanerstra?e 15, 81669

CDR MYSQL missing field data
Hello, I have Asterisk-1.8.3.2, dahdi-linux-complete-2.4.1+2.4.1, and libpri-1.4.11.5 installed and running on a Ubuntu 10.04 server all built from source. Everything is working nicely except one small issue. The CDR records are stored in the CSV file correctly and complete. The MySQL storage is working as it should and is automatically updating all the fields except the CLID field. I have
