nsd4 process weirdness?
Hi, I was playing with the munin plugin in nsd4 beta4, and saw some strange errors. Directly after starting nsd on linux, I'm seeing: $ ps ax -o pid,ppid,user,args | grep nsd 1638 1 nsd /usr/sbin/nsd -c /etc/nsd/nsd.conf 1641 1638 nsd /usr/sbin/nsd -c /etc/nsd/nsd.conf 1647 1641 nsd /usr/sbin/nsd -c /etc/nsd/nsd.conf $ sudo munin-run nsd_munin_memory

[LLVMdev] FreeBSD Support In lib/System
Jeff/Vladimir: As with Interix, I've recently added support for FreeBSD into lib/System. Currently, the implementation of FreeBSD just uses the "generic Unix" implementation which probably should work on FreeBSD. If not, I would appreciate it if you could make patches in the FreeBSD directory. If you do, don't forget that you need to remove anything that doesn't work in the

Problems authenticating after upgrade to sernet-samba 4.3.9-24
Hello list, Just did a major Samba/CTDB upgrade and our previously working auth setup is having some issues under the new version. Would appreciate some help troubleshooting. It seems like we are close, since the trust relationship between our Samba servers and the AD service looks OK. But winbind fails like this: ------ [root at mako-nsd4 ~]# wbinfo -n jsmith failed to call wbcLookupName:

[LLVMdev] configparser and ConfigParser are different
Okay, I've traced it to a bug in configparser, which on my python 2.7.4 system is a backport of configparser from python 3. Here is a clean patch that works around the problem. systemd service files for nsd4?
Hi I'm starting a migration from NSD 3 -> 4. I note in @src ./contrib/ that an init.d is still provided. Are there any systemd service files, etc. available/documented/recommended yet? darx

python problem
Question for the list: I have a small, aircooled pc server, which is running fine, but the log gets filled with a series of messages saying the package, and each of 8 cpus is throttled because of thermal issues. Then, within the same second according to the timestamps, it reports everything is OK and throttling is off. This happens once every minute. In reality, when I try performance

Scriptable way to edit yum .repo files?
Hello, Is there a standard programmatic way to manipulate yum configuration files, particularly the .repo files? I want to add things like "priority=..." per repo, or "check_obsoletes=1" to the priorities plugin config. I can cook specific search/append using perl or sed but was wondering whether there is a more elegant way. I found Perl's Conf::INI module but it

Clear text_area value onfocus
Hi! I have a "text_area" that looks like this... <%= text_area ''business'', ''otherDigitalDesc'', "cols" => 25, "rows" => 4, "value" => "Enter Description if Yes..." %> Right now, if I submit it, it adds "Enter Description if Yes" into the database. It would be nice to not have it enter

WinXP - Can Join 2.2.2 domain - Not log on
I have read through the mail archives to find a solution to my problem... to no avail. Here is the issue: I have a Samba 2.2.2 acting as a PDC, with Win2k I can join the domain and logon as a domain user. No problem. (So it is working and set up properly). With WinXP - Pro, I can join the domain, successfully. However, once I do the reboot I cannot logon as a domain user as I did with

Integration between R & latex
As an R absolute beginner and an expert (very old) statistician and latex user, I'm interested in using R to produce AUTOMAGICALLY tables in latex format. I mean I would like to have the means to build an R procedure generating **FROM INSIDE** a table or a graph to be inserted directly into latex. I've read http://hesweb1.med.virginia.edu/biostat/s/doc/summary.pdf where the author speaks

Most stable Asterisk version
Hi there, I am getting ready to set up a production Asterisk system. It needs to be stable. Upgrading, patching, rebooting, troubleshooting etc. are pretty much NOT an option once this thing is deployed. Like any phone system, it is expected to just work. Having said that, which is the best version and subversion of Asterisk to use? I was leaning towards 1.2 but it appears there are some
