trashcan on dist. repl. volume with geo-replication
Hi Dietmar,
I am trying to understand the problem and have few questions.
1. Is trashcan enabled only on master volume?
2. Does the 'rm -rf' done on master volume synced to slave ?
3. If trashcan is disabled, the issue goes away?
The geo-rep error just says the it failed to create the directory
"Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension" on slave.
Usually this would be because of gfid

SMB 3.0.1/LDAP Cannot add computer to domain
I'm trying to setup samba with ldapsam (Novell eDir 8.7.1). Right now I
can login to samba and browse my shares with user "Administrator", but when
I'm trying to add computer to domain I get "unknown user name or bad

I have administrator, root and nobody accounts in ldap. And I have
manualy added following groupmappings to ldap-groups:

How to delete geo-replication session?
Hi,
I would like to delete a geo-replication session on my GluterFS 3.8.11 replicat 2 volume in order to re-create it. Unfortunately the "delete" command does not work as you can see below:
$ sudo gluster volume geo-replication myvolume gfs1geo.domain.tld::myvolume-geo delete
Staging failed on arbiternode.domain.tld. Error: Geo-replication session between myvolume and

How to delete geo-replication session?
Hi,
I would really like to get rid of this geo-replication session as I am stuck with it right now. For example I can't even stop my volume as it complains about that geo-replcation...
Can someone let me know how I can delete it?
Thanks

self-heal not working
Hi,
I have a replicat 2 with arbiter GlusterFS 3.8.11 cluster and there is currently one file listed to be healed as you can see below but never gets healed by the self-heal daemon:
Brick node1.domain.tld:/data/myvolume/brick
/data/appdata_ocpom4nckwru/preview/1344699/64-64-crop.png

How to delete geo-replication session?
Do you see any session listed when Geo-replication status command is
run(without any volume name)
gluster volume geo-replication status
Volume stop force should work even if Geo-replication session exists.
From the error it looks like node "arbiternode.domain.tld" in Master
cluster is down or not reachable.

How to delete geo-replication session?
When I run the "gluster volume geo-replication status" I see my geo replication session correctly including the volume name under the "VOL" column. I see my two nodes (node1 and node2) but not arbiternode as I have added it later after setting up geo-replication. For more details have a quick look at my previous post here:

How to delete geo-replication session?
Sorry I missed your previous mail.
Please perform the following steps once a new node is added
- Run gsec create command again
gluster system:: execute gsec_create
- Run Geo-rep create command with force and run start force
gluster volume geo-replication <mastervol> <slavehost>::<slavevol>
create push-pem force
gluster volume geo-replication <mastervol>

Multiple comparisons with a mixed effects model
Hello,
I have used R in the past to conduct multiple comparisons on standard linear models, but am a bit confused as to how to go about doing it with a mixed effects model.
I am conducting a bioindication study using carabid beetles in which I have four treatment types (forest harvest types with varying levels of canopy structure retention), and am using canopy closure percent as a covariate in

R version 3.3.2, Windows 10: gstat package: Error in fitting a variogram model using 'fit.variogram' function
Dear Members,
I am trying to fit a variogram model using fit.variogram function from the gstat package. The figure showing my experimental variogram can be seen here: https://i.stack.imgur.com/UZXw4.png
My code line for this operation is:
> c2.vgm.fit<-fit.variogram(c2.vgm.exp,vgm(nugget=0, psill=400,model="Exp",range =40000),fit.method = 7)
The system throws following error

self-heal not working
Can you also provide:
gluster v heal <my vol> info split-brain
If it is split brain just delete the incorrect file from the brick and run heal again. I haven't tried this with arbiter but I assume the process is the same.

Odd anova(lm()) order phenomenon, looking for an explanation
Hi everyone,
I'm witnessing an odd modelling phenomenon that I can't explain. If
anyone has seen this before, or can explain what's going on would let
me know, I'd be very grateful! Especially if I'm just being dim.
I'm fitting a pair of continuous variates and their interaction to
some residuals from another model. The sequential anova statement

self-heal not working
Hi Ben,
So it is really a 0 kBytes file everywhere (all nodes including the arbiter and from the client).
Here below you will find the output you requested. Hopefully that will help to find out why this specific file is not healing... Let me know if you need any more information. Btw node3 is my arbiter node.

Bug in the function Variogram (package nlme) ?
Dears UseRs,
In Zuur's book (Mixed effects models and extensions in ecology with R), p
167, it is mentionned that the Variogram function (package nlme) scale the
sill to 1.
Here is the plot of the semi-variogram given by the Variogram function on my
"lme" object. (http://imm.io/3OLe)
Note that the semi-variance exceed 1 !!
It can probably explain why the Gaussian correlation

Variogram (nlme) of a lme object - corSpatial element question
Dear Users,
>From previous analysis (semi-variograms using package gstat), I found
spatial autocorrelation in my dataset.
The best fitted model to this spatial correlation structure is the Gaussian
model (Spherical, Exponential, Linear tested and comparison done by Sum of
Square errors).
So I used corGaus function to define this spatial autocorrelation in my lme
model using the option

Fixed sill in variogram fitting (geoR)
Dear all,
I'm trying to fit a variogram model using variofit function in geoR
package. There is an option to fix the nugget but is there anyway to force
the variogram sill to equal some defined value? I'm working with
standardized longitudinal data so the process variance is 1 and I'd like
to force the sill of the variogram to reach this value (and prevent it

Variogram fitted by Cauchy
Hi
I'm using R(2.9.0) and gstat package under Windows to plot sample variograms.
When I want to fit them, I don't have the possibility to choose Cauchy functions. Under Mathematica for example, we have it and it seems to be the best one to fit the variograms I have
I tested the others functions, they can fit but I would,if possible, use the Cauchy one. If anybody knows something about

default value for cutoff in gstat variogram()
I wonder what is the default value for the argument 'cutoff' when not
specified in the variogram.formula function of gstat. Computing
variogram envelops within gstat, I am comparing the results obtained
with variog in geoR and variogram in gstat, and it took me a while
before understanding that the cutoff default value is not the maximum
distance.
Can Edzer tell us about it?

sample variogram construction
Hi
Im attempting to build a sample variogram for 300 obersvations
of longitudinal data. So what I need to do is compute the half
squared differences between pairs of residuals (for instance
if a subject has 4 obersvations, this is 4 choose 2 paird differences)
for each subject.
Also, then I need the corresponding time differences within each
individual. So the end result will be a 300 by 2
