Why Ruby on Rails?
Hi everyone,
I would like to ask you why should I use Ruby on Rails? And I have a
silly question hope I can answer it, is it true that the creators of
ruby on Rails are gay? I''ve just read that and want to make sure.
Thanks.

SHA256 password patch
Hi,
I made a patch against branch-1.0 for SHA256 password hashing support
for Dovecot.
Courier Authlib supports this hashing scheme and in order to migrate
from Courier to Dovecot, I've added SHA256 support to Dovecot.
The attached patch is based on BSD licensed code from Olivier Gay
(http://www.ouah.org/ogay/sha2/).
Changes made by me in Olivier's sha2{.h,.c} code:

I see from time to time this notice on asterisk CLI:

The *Strange Email *is the email of an untrusted gay. I use Google talk with

Catch all for dovecot authentication?

So you want to setup a service where random spammer/hacker can trivially DDOS your system?
How many simultaneous 5GB streams can you handle? How much will your bandwidth bill be if you send 5GB a million times in a month?

ggplot2 - how to change location / position of wind rose axis labels?
Dear R users,
First just want to say thank you to all for developing such a wonderful
software and packages.
I need to produce a wind rose plot. Tried with packages circular and plotrix
and couldn't quite get what I want. Moved to package ggplot2 and it's going
great. However stuck in how to move axis labels.
I am using the wind rose from the help to learn how to do what I need (code

[ggplot2] Wind rose orientation
Aloha all,
I love using ggplot. It took a while to get used to the grammar of
graphics, but it is starting to get easy now that I am thinking in a
more structured way.
A question. I'm making a wind rose that I'd like to be oriented with
due north straight up. I've discovered that the orientation is
sensitive to how north is represented. When north is represented as

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] patch to enable response file support in ParseCommandLineOptions
Response file is the conventional name for files serving this purpose. A google search shows the usage of "response file" is not rare. Also it has been used in the LLVM documentation:

Changing X axis of ggplot
Thanks to Joshua Wiley for turning me on to ggplot2.
I am making a plot using this:
p <- ggplot(dallas, aes(x = offense_hour)) + geom_bar() + coord_polar()
Dallas is a data frame, and offense_hour is a column with chron
objects from the chron library. In this case, the chron object was
created with the times function. It is only a time (H:M:S) with no
date attached.
The plot shows up fine,

ggplot2 rose diagram
Dear R gurus -
consider this plot:
library(ggplot2)
dat <- sample(1:8,100,replace=TRUE)
smp <- ggplot(data.frame(dat), aes(x=factor(dat),fill=factor(dat))) + geom_bar(width=1)
smp + coord_polar()
Q1. How do I change the font size and weight of bar labels (1,2,3...)? I've been wallowing in the 'Themes' structure and I just can't figure out the correct place to change

Changing the origin in polar.plot in plotrix package
I am trying to draw a polar plot, which is easy enough to do in the
plotrix package through the polar.plot function.
However I would like to change the origin of the length vector. For
instance all my length values are between 75 and 85, so instead of
having the origin as 0 (the default) I'd like it to be, say, 50.
Is there any way do to this in the polar.plot function, or if not is
there an

Nightingale’s Rose chart-any suggestion?
Hello, Everyone.
Does anyone know how to create a Nightingale’s Rose chart by using R?
Hopefully, the graph could be displayed like this:

Thanks a lot.
