Convirt + CentOS 5
Hi There,
I am currently running CentOS 5.1 with the RPMs that come with the
"Virtualization" package and using the virt-manager gui. I really like
the look of "convirt" (formerly "xenman") and was thinking of doing the
following:
- Compile the SRPMs for Xen 3.2 from source and install over top of
the existing Xen (I have an x86_64 machine)
- Use the

Bug#496367: The possibility of attack with the help of symlinks in some Debian packages
Package: xen-utils-3.2-1
Severity: grave
Hi, maintainer!
This message about the error concerns a few packages at once. I've
tested all the packages (for Lenny) on my Debian mirror. All scripts
of packages (marked as executable) were tested.
In some packages I've discovered scripts with errors which may be used
by a user for damaging important system files or user's files.

xen clustermanagement?
Hello,
im looking thorugh this list:
http://www.gridvm.org/xen-remote-management-interfaces.html
and wondering which would be the bst solution for our XEN machines.
We have 20 Machines that serve each 3-8 Xen VMs.
Right now we are doing everything by hand on the bash.
I am setting up a new hardware machine and I would like to start with
a managemet GUI for XEN.
beside that I have another

Re: TCP connection works for only remote host
Restarted libvirt to listen at tcp
$ sudo /etc/init.d/libvirt-bin stop
[sudo] password for fluent:
Rather than invoking init scripts through /etc/init.d, use the service(8)
utility, e.g. service libvirt-bin stop
Since the script you are attempting to invoke has been converted to an
Upstart job, you may also use the stop(8) utility, e.g. stop libvirt-bin
libvirt-bin stop/waiting
$ sudo libvirtd -d

KVM management tools.....
Looking at what my best options for managing KVM via a gui. Running Centos
5.4 and have several machines and want to migrate off of vmware server 2.x.
So far it appears that the management tools haven't quite cought up to
Vmware but are gaining and closing. I have been looking at convirt, and
others. I like what I see in Ovirt but I'm not sure it is available for
centos 5.4, or is it?

management tools for kvm
I have been installing kvm guests on a number of hosts and have been
managing them through a single virt manager on one of the hosts. I am
looking for a tool that will allow me to manage them from a windows
workstation, possibly using a web interface. Everything I've looked at
and read about seems to require a linux workstation to install on, like
oVirt or ConVirt. I am looking for a product

S3 (Suspend to Disk) with XEN
Hi All,
I have a 5.4 box and testing xen 3.4 on
kernel-xen-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5.
As you know, there are no enough configuration to do "Suspend to Disk" of
the .config
of the kernel-xen-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5.
# Power management options (ACPI, APM)
#
CONFIG_PM=y
Then, I tied to get the kernel-2.6.18-164.6.1.el5.src.rpm, installed that.

Automatically converted the table name to small letters!!
One issue is there in connecting one schema(table) "CR_Security" and
"CR_Security" from this sybase Db.
I have set false for pluralize_table_name and also setting the table
name explicitly too as follow in the "environment.rb" :
======================================
ActiveRecord::Base.pluralize_table_names = false
class CR_Country < ActiveRecord::Base
