automating aov function
I am running the aov function to determine the linear relationship between individual genes and a number of covariates in a micro-array data set. My aov function is working, but I have not been able to write a code to save these results in a matrix. I am using the following code or a slight variation of this code: for(i in 1(length(m[1,])-20) {tmp<- aov(m[,i]~treat, data=m)

group by (2 -levels)
My table looks like: make | model | year And I''d like to display the info like: Make 01 Model 01 Year 01 Year 02 Year 03 Model 02 Year 01 Year 02 Make 02 Model 01 Year 01 Year 02 etc... I think group_by will work for 1 level, but are there any ideas for a better solution? Thank You, -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

noob - Outlook Duplicate Problem Question
Hi, I use dovecot 0.99-11 with sendmail latest, and clamav-milter, and spamass-milter. Whole setup works great. We only use dovecot for pop3, no imap. We use primarily Outlook 2000-2003 for a client. I have a couple of users who prefer to leave a copy of each message on the server. I read the archives about the Outlook Duplicate Message problem regarding the setting 'Leave a copy on

Working with one model from another
Hi all, I have some code where I''d like to set up an instance of a non-database model from another, ActiveRecord, model in order to use some custom methods on a string, without mixing extra methods into the String class. I understand this might be less-than-sensible as models should normally stand on their own..? My two models: ####################### # models/qualified_name.rb #

CentOS 4.5 and CentOS 5.0 News
Hi, I use CentOS as a firewall/proxy/webserver/fileserver in my small network. As the small-spec machine with CentOS is heavily loaded/used I can't afford downtime. 20 GB, pentium II with only 128 MB RAM. However I want to know the news on 4.5 is it due soon? Can I gain more by running CentOS 3.x range on such an old machine like mine? Will CentOS 5.0 mean you need a minimum of 512 RAM?

What is your data error rate?
After having read this mailing list for a little while, I get the impression that there are at least some people who regularly experience on-disk corruption that ZFS should be able to report and handle. I?ve been running a raidz1 on three 1TB consumer disks for approx. 2 years now (about 90% full), and I scrub the pool every 3-4 weeks and have never had a single error. From the oft-quoted 10^14
