similar to: quota recalc does not work

The system hang, linux from scratch. I have changed the live kernel from linux-2.6.35.4 to linux-2.6.32.61 , to see if the fault still occurs. I have a question : i've upgrade dovecot from 1.1.4 to 2.0.9 and everything is fine except thunderbird clients , that no longer show a popup when new mail arrives. I'm switching quota backend to redis (from maildir++), so all my current usages are reset. I get that I can do "doveadm quota recalc -A", but it takes forever (and auth processes time out/crash). It would make much more sense to recalc the usage on login if the current usage is unset. Is there no way to do a recalc-quota-on-first-login? Thanks. -- Tom Sommer

Hello, I've set up user quota and domain quota for dict SQL and all seems OK. New mail for user increase the user quota and the domain quota. Deleting email count down user quota and domain quota. But in case of SQL failure, I'm trying to rebuild the user quota and domain quota with doveadm quota recalc. The problem is that the command : 'doveadm quota recalc -u foo at bar'

hi, we use dovecot 2.2.13, and we've lately started using maildir quota (previously fs quota was used, right now it's "quota = maildir:User quota" changed from "quota = fs:User quota:user:inode_per_mail"). Hi, using dovecot 2.0 and I'm using a couple of user DBs, sql/prefetch and pam. Currently if the user logins with username at domain it authenticates off the sql DB and works fine. If the user logins with username with no @domain it fails on the sql lookup and succeeds on the pam user DB. Hi Timo, looks like virtual plugin is broken now with my setup dovecot 2.0.6 cant say to which version it stopped working ( didnt tested it trough all ) but has worked i see nothing special in log why it stopped working it should show unseen mail i.e in folder Junk too with pop3 clients, but only shows new inbox mails after all i am confused what using better pop3_uidl_format = %08Xu%08Xv (
