SElinux AVC signull
Hi Leon, I don't have access to a CentOS 6.10 system handy, but it looks like a policy issue. If I take you're ausearch output and pipe it to audit2allow on my CentOS 7.6 system, I get the following: #============= httpd_t ============== #!!!! This avc is allowed in the current policy allow httpd_t httpd_sys_script_t:process signull; Noting that on my 7.6 system with selinux enforcing

up2date dependency problem
Greetings, centos. Looks like postinstall scriplet in CentOS4.4 distro requires /sbin/restorecon utility, which in turn resides in policycoreutils package. Meanwhile, up2date don't require policycoreutils. It seems to that there is an error in dependencies for up2date. -- Best regards, Alexey Loukianov mailto:aloukianov at lavtech.ru Software Development

Odd SELinux messages during+after 5.3 upgrade (system_mail_t and postfix_postdrop_t access rpm_var_lib_t)
Hey guys, I've been getting some strange selinux messages after the 5.3 upgrade. It appears as though my mail system (postfix) is constantly trying to access the rpm database? Here's the audit messages (I tend to look at my selinux messages using audit2allow < /var/log/audit.log as I find it easier to read quickly): allow postfix_postdrop_t rpm_t:tcp_socket { read write }; allow

[PATCH] appliance: Add ntfs-3g-system-compression (RHBZ#1703463).
This package in Fedora enables optional support for Windows 10 "CompactOS" (file-level compression), read-only, which is sufficient for inspecting Windows guests and doing certain types of modifications to them. Virt-v2v appears to work, but it may be that anything that involves modifying a compressed file might not work. I couldn't find the equivalent package in Debian or SUSE.

SELinux Samba Exception on EL6
We are planning to migrate to EL6 and came across this issue that I am trying to get around. Current system spec: Samba-3.5.10 Selinux-policy-3.7.19 Policycoreutils-2.0.83 Autofs-5.0.5 In EL5 we disabled selinux for samba using 'smbd_disable_trans' directive and the shares work fine. On RHEL6 I couldn't find this Boolean. Is there an alternate directive that accomplishes

[PATCH 2/2] Use setfiles from the appliance for the SELinux relabel (RHBZ#1089100).
Rewrite the relabel API to read the policy configured in the guest, invoking setfiles (added as part of the appliance, as part of policycoreutils) to relabel the specified root. In case of failure at any point of the process, a touch of .autorelabel in the root is tried as last-attempt measure to do the relabel. Considering that running SELinux tools in the appliance might be affected by the

Installing devtoolset-6 on CentOS 8
Has anybody tried (and succeeded) to get gcc 6.3.1 (or devtoolset-6) to work on CentOS 8? In the Animation and Visual Effect industry, gcc 6.3.1 is still the current recommended compiler (see www.vfxplatform.com), and is required to build many plugins. Unfortunately, it is not a "minimum requirement"... It is THE requirement. So I tried to get it from the vault: -- sudo dnf
