As we have every day, we had a power blip overnight. one, at least, of the servers connected to a SmartUPS via cable, announced that "power exhausted, initiating shutdown" (which I've disabled). The thing is, I know the servers on that UPS draw a ridiculous amount of power, but I don't see that on the others... and this was three seconds, not minutes, after it announced there

We have about 4 servers connected to an APC UPS. The UPS only has one UPS connection. So my question is, in a power outage how do i get all my servers to safely shutdown? Do i run a USB hub? Do i write a script on the one machine connected to turn off all the other machines? I'm confused. Jamie

Is it possible to shutdown earlier by certain conditions: by battery level and estimated by UPS runtime. In APCUPSD this done by config options "BATTERYLEVEL" "MINUTES". By what condition NUT shutdown server? How to disable UPS shutdown?

so I have a bunch of servers at work that are on DUAL UPS's (1 per each of 2 power supplies). Its mostly HP gear, but also some Sun and IBM. Ideally I'd like the system to not go into shutdown unless BOTH UPS's that a particular box is plugged into (there's actually 4 UPS, 2 per each of 2 racks). Has anyone ever configured anything like that with NUT or whatever? Right

Hello;I just came across NUT, testing FreeNAS/FreeBSD. I?m running at home a APC UPS connected to another computer, running apcupsd. I found out that NUT didn't talk by default to apcupsd, and there was a driver created relatively recently (apcupsd-ups), which filled in that gap. The version I found on my FreeBSD/FreeNAS system seems to imply that there is more to come to that driver (0.04)

Hi, We use Nexenta which has recently implemented a UPS plugin using NUT code. The one problem is that it can't look at APCUPSD servers for APC information. We have a UPS per a rack and a APCUPSD server per a UPS. Without this functionality, we would have to be directly connected to the UPS's for our SAN and we can't do that. Hello, Looking for a apcupsd 3.14.14 rpm. Been getting communication lost errors. I read there was a problem with the 3.14.12 version regarding a usb connection which I'm using, but has been corrected in 3.14.14. I found a Fedora 25 Rawhide src version, but the link must be bad.
