RAID rebuild time and disk utilization....
So I'm in the process of building and testing a raid setup and it appeared to take along time to build I came across some settings for setting the min amount of time and that helped but it appears that one of the disks is struggling (100 utilization) vs the other one...I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and if so, is their a solution for it...my 2 disks are 1 Samsung F3 1tb /dev/sdb

One way ANOVA with NO model
I'd like to do a simple one-way ANOVA comparing the means of 6 groups. But it seems like the only way to do an ANOVA in R is to specify some sort of model, where there is an outcome or dependent variable that is a function of independent variables (linear model). But I don't have a linear model, I just want to do a simple ANOVA (and f-test) to compare the means. How do I do

/ Operator not meaningful for factors
Folks, I have a very basic question. The solution eludes me perhaps because of my own lack of creativity. I am not attaching a fully reproducible session because the issue may well be becuase of the way the data file is, and the data file is large (and I don't know whether I can legally distribute it). If people can suggest things that might be wrong in my data or the way that I am reading it,

Estimating IRT models by using nlme() function
Hi, I have a question about estimating IRT models by using nlme, not just rasch model, but also other models. serious networking (em) performance (ggate and NFS) problem
Dear best guys, I really love 5.3 in many ways but here're some unbelievable transfer rates, after I went out and bought a pair of Intel GigaBit Ethernet Cards to solve my performance problem (*laugh*): (In short, see *** below) Tests were done with two Intel GigaBit Ethernet cards (82547EI, 32bit PCI Desktop adapter MT) connected directly without a switch/hub and "device

ProgeCAD Layer drop down menu opening up off screen

I loaded a drawing with plenty of layers and then clicked on the layer drop down menu a couple of times before exiting ProgeCAD. Log file below. (sorry

Paravirtualised drivers for fully virtualised domains
(The list appears to have eaten my previous attempt to send this. Apologies if you receive multiple copies.) The attached patches allow you to use paravirtualised network and block interfaces from fully virtualised domains, based on Intel''s patches from a few months ago. These are significantly faster than the equivalent ioemu devices, sometimes by more than an order of magnitude.

Question about error of "non-numeric argument to binary operator"
I have been trying to do a nls model and gives me the error of a nonnumeric argument table(file="c:/tt2.txt",header=T) > fit.model <- nls(TT~60*(1+alpha*(v/c)^beta),data=tt2, start=list(alpha=1, beta=3, v=1000)) Error in v/c : non-numeric argument to binary operator > is.numeric(tt2) [1] FALSE > is.character(tt2) [1] FALSE > as.numeric(tt2) Error: (list)
