Problem with Dovecot and BlackBerry
Hi all, i've got a strange behaviour with a BlackBerry Classic Phone (BBOS 10.3.2.2876) in combination with Dovecot 2.2.13 while trying to fetch mails. Before burying myself into debugging sessions, i try to get an understanding if the following is a Client- or a Server-specific error in the behaviour: CIGA8 UID FETCH 10009:10035 (UID FLAGS) (CHANGEDSINCE NOMODSEQ) CIGA8 BAD Error

2.1.3: Overly lax FETCH parsing
These commands both work in Dovecot (as of 2.1.3): 1 UID FETCH 1:* () (CHANGEDSINCE 1) * 1 FETCH (UID 30097 MODSEQ (19554)) [...] 1 OK Fetch completed. 2 FETCH 1:* () (CHANGEDSINCE 1) * 2 FETCH (MODSEQ (19554)) [...] 2 OK Fetch completed. However, RFC 3501 indicates that an empty FETCH attribute list is incorrect: fetch = "FETCH" SP sequence-set SP ("ALL" /

[RFC] Integer Intrinsics for abs, in unsigned/signed min/max
Hello all. This is a proposal to introduce 5 new integer intrinsics: * absolute value * signed min * signed max * unsigned min * unsigned max This is motivated by the fact that we keep working around not having these intrinsics, and that constantly leads us into having more workarounds, and causes infinite combine loops. Here's a (likely incomplete!) list of motivational bugs: infinite

Delayed flags changes over IDLE
Hello, I'm experiencing slow flags changes over IMAP IDLE: - If I start an IDLE session / command - Change the flags of some messages via another email app - Dovecot can take a minute or more to notify the IDLE connection about flags changes If I use another email app to add or remove a message, Dovecot sends that (EXISTS / EXPUNGE) instantly and also flushes the (so far delayed) flags

v1.2 development tree started
I merged all the new features and latest v1.1 changes under one tree: http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-1.2/ The changeset order is kind of weird though. The timestamps jump all around. Wonder if there's a way to reorder them so that it looks more sane.. The status of the new features: 1. CONDSTORE extension is probably the largest change. It adds new "modification sequences" for

CONDSTORE + QRESYNC extensions
I wrote a mostly-working CONDSTORE support for Dovecot today. You can try it with: hg clone http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-condstore/ There are a few problems left: - STORE FLAGS.SILENT should be sending FETCH MODSEQ updates - When SELECTing a mailbox while CONDSTORE hasn't yet been enabled in the session, Dovecot returns a higher HIGHESTMODSEQ than what's used after CONDSTORE is

samba-tool create user
I'm working on a shell script to create new users on a AD DC. Currently we use ADUC, but that is slow and error-prone. My (untested) command looks like this: samba-tool user create $USERNAME $PASSWORD \ --nis-domain=sta \ --unix-home=/home/${USERNAME} \ --uid-number=${NEXTID} \ --login-shell=/sbin/nologin \ --gid-number=513 \ --use-username-as-cn \ --home-drive=Z \

Bug in HIGHESTMODSEQ when MODSEQ tracking is not enabled for version 2.0.18.
Greetings, I'm new to the list. I have encountered what I believe to be a bug in the return of HIGHESTMODSEQ when talking to a IMAP client. HIGHESTMODSEQ does not appear to be incrementing when a new message arrives. The exact steps I took are: 1) Create a new mail account 2) Send a mail to the account, check that you can receive the email. Send a second mail to the account. 3) perform a

DC won't update Windows 10 PTR records
Our Domain Controller is running Samba 4.6.2 We have both Windows 7 & 10 on our network. All of the Windows 7 workstations seem to be updating their reverse PTR records just fine, but the Windows 10 workstations seem to always fail. Here are the named logs from the DC: 23-May-2018 13:53:08.965 update-security: error: client 192.168.254.210#60093: update 'tipping.lan/IN' denied

Power User Tipping Point: PHP to Ruby
I have been waiting for a tipping point to start using Ruby applications instead of PHP applications. My criteria include the availability of Ruby and RoR web hosts and Ruby equivalent applications readily available for PHP. I keep finding PHP applications to fill my needs but not Ruby applications or hosts offering Ruby support. For example, I use content management systems which are

[LLVMdev] Static functions for APInt
This adds a bunch of static functions that implement unsigned two's complement bignum arithmetic. They could be used to implement much of APInt, but the idea is they are enough to implement APFloat as well, which the current APInt interface is not suited for. dsync mbox->mdbox II: highest_modseq changed
Hi again, after replacing CRLF in 4 mboxes dsync was able to sync all of the 30+GB mailstore to mdbox. Now the (repeated) calling of dsync yields info messages of the kind dsync(athimm): Info: old/speicher: highest_modseq changed: 1 != 10 dsync(athimm): Info: root/root-heretic: highest_modseq changed: 1 != 10 dsync(athimm): Info: lists/ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma: highest_modseq changed: 11

Survey package
Good afternoon! I'm trying to use the Survey package for a stratified sample which has 4 criteria on which the stratification is based. I would like to get the corrected weights and for every element i get a weight of 1 E.g: tipping design <- svydesign (id=~1, strata= ~regiune + size_loc + age_rec_hhh + size_hh, data= tabel) and then weights(design) gives

Getting /etc/mongrel_cluster and startup script to work?
Hi, I''m trying to setup my mongrel clusters to start on boot. I have followed the instructions under the "On Boot Initialization Setup" section at http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/docs/mongrel_cluster.html. When I try to start it up, I get the following error: me at mybox.com: sudo /etc/init.d/mongrel_cluster start Starting all mongrel_clusters... !!! Path to log file not
