WFMU has added an Ogg Vorbis stream
It's 40 kbps/22 kHz stereo. I tried to convince them to raise the sampling rate to 44.1 kHz, but they're determined to keep it within reach of urban dialup modem users. This aught to increase awareness of Ogg among artists and record collectors in NYC and beyond who would not have otherwise heard of Ogg Vorbis. 'FMU has a huge presence on the web. WFMU is a non-commercial, freeform

variable share connect times ... how to speed up ?
All - Many apologies if the following is covered in the documentation, but I've looked through it all and can't find it. My question: what conditions affect the speed with which samba allocates a share requested by a client and how can I speed up the process ? Background: I have a number of NT 4/SP 4 clients accessing a number of Unix boxes running samba 2.0.6 which are, in turn,

usa() map
I was wondering if there was a map of the US similar to the usa() map in Splus? If anyone knows of one, or how to convert the Splus usa() map for use in R, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, Rich ==================================================== Richard M. winbind group membership
Hi. FreeBSD 8.2 Samba 3.5.11 from ports I have an issue with group membership. id shows only small part of the groups a user is member of. I'm aware about UNIX max group issue, but this isn't related to it - for example for a user which is member of the 6 griups id shows only 3. Although wbinfo -r shows correct number of groups and wbinfo -G is able to successfully translate UNIX

Freebsd 3.5->4 New Server Profile Paths Lost
I am migrating a Freebsd 8.2 Samba 3.5.11 system to Freebsd 9.1 Samba 4.0.4. I copied over all of the users home directories, local accounts, and the tdb files. I ran the classic upgrade tool, got the server up and running, and users could login however they were on fresh local profiles rather than roaming profiles. In the log file for the station, I found the following message [2013/04/13

Error in x %*% coef(object) : non-conformable arguments
Hello, and thanks in advance! What does the error message "Error in x %*% coef(object) : non- conformable arguments" when indicate when predicting values for newdata with a model from bigglm (in package biglm), and how can I debug it? I am attempting to do Monte Carlo simulations, which may explain the somewhat interesting loop which follows. After the code I have included the output,

markdown PEG (parsing expression grammar)
There's been a lot of discussion on this list about creating a formal grammar for markdown. I had a go at writing a [parsing expression grammar] for markdown. I used Haskell and John Meacham's Frisby PEG parsing library, but it should not be too hard to port the grammar to PEG libraries in other languages. [parsing expression grammar]:
