Managesieve problem
Hi,
I'ld try to set up the managesieve (for RoundCube) - the sieve is
works as well with dovecot (I mean my filters works perfectly).
When I would try to connect to managesieve, I got an error, and
mail.err contains:
dovecot: managesieve(airween at mydomain.hu): Error: user airween at madomain.hu: Couldn't drop privileges: getgrnam(vmail) failed: Permission denied (in

Dovecot + managesieve + Roundcube
Hello
I've installed managesieve on my mailhub
FreeBSD from dovecot-managesieve ports
to let roundcube users build email filters.
The filter are well created in the right directory
but the filter seems inefficient ( it does not filter ;-) )
see below the result of the dovecot -n command
Thanks for any info

Segfault in managesieve with "sieve_extensions = -redirect"
Hi!
I've got a segfault in managesieve while using:
sieve_extensions = -vacation -reject -spamtest -virustest -enotify -redirect
The problem seems to lie in "-redirect".
Reason for excluding "redirect" from sieve is my users should not use
sieve to forward or redirect mails but use an external method
(web-script to set LDAP attribute) which checks several things like

Combining ManageSieve with hand-written scripts
Hi, new to Dovecot, forgive me if I'm missing something basic...
I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to use a couple of custom rules
alongside ManageSieve. Most of the time I like the ManageSieve interface
in Roundcube, but there's one rule that I can't get it to do the way I want
(it's a notify rule, and I don't like the way Roundcube constructs the
notify). I

managesieve proxying not working
I'm using roundcube webmail managesieve plugin. Webmail can login managesieve to a specific mailstore successfully without proxying. Because I have mutiple mailstores, I have to use proxying to redirect the correct mailstores just as imap/pop3.

managesieve - point me in the right direction?
Hi,
I am using Dovecot 2.1.16. I'm trying to get Roundcube to talk to the
managesieve plugin. Postfix/Dovecot/Roundcube all exist on the same
server.
I'd like to get managesieve working. I've gone through a few guides,
such as:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/dovecot#Sieve
But so far roundcube won't connect to the managesieve plugin. ("Cant
reach server").

managesieve / sieve - append dot prefix on moving mails into folder
Hello mailinglist-subscribers,
i have an issue with the managesieve / sieve plugin in dovecot.
We use roundcube as webmailer and if i define a new filter to move
incoming mails directly into a subfolder i get the following sieve-code:
require ["fileinto","imap4flags"];
# rule:[mail into folder]
if allof (header :contains "from" "sender at domain.org")

Exposing global (default) sieve script through Managesieve
Hi folks,
I'm setting up a dovecot server with managesieve support. I'd like to
offer spamfiltering through a Sieve script to my users by default,
but still allow them to modify the filtering rules through Managesieve.
I found the sieve_global_path configuration option, which seems perfect
for what I want. I can configure a default script there, which will work
for all users until they

Can't get sieve/managedsieve working
Hi,
I am running dovecot 2.1.7 for a while, with roundcube webmail frontend
0.9.5 . Now I wanted to add sieve to filter mails. Unfortunately most
tutorials are for dovecot 1.x but I'm running dovecot 2 on debian
wheezy.
I could upload some scripst with sieve-connect, checked and activated
them. When I try to edit filters with thunderbird sieve plugin 0.2.2
nothing happens. If I try to

dovecot-pigeonhole problems after upgrade to v2.3.0
Hello,
After upgrading to dovecot 2.3.0, my sieve filtering is broken. I managed it via roundcube's managesieve plugin. my emails are not being filtered accordingly into their folders and when i attempt to access the filter interface in roundcube, my maillog reports:

Also, please provide an example scenario; i.e., for one problematic
delivery provide:
- The values of the variables substituted in the dovecot-lda command
line; i.e., provide that command line.
- The incoming e-mail message.
Regards,
Stephan.

sieve sending vacation message from vmail@ns1.domain.tld
Could you send your configuration (output from `dovecot -n`)?
Also, please provide an example scenario; i.e., for one problematic
delivery provide:
- The values of the variables substituted below.
- The incoming e-mail message.
- The Sieve script (or at least that vacation command).
Regards,
Stephan.

dsync not replicating ".dovecot.sieve -> .sieve/managesieve.sieve"
Hi,
Currently using dovecot 2.3.2.1 and pigeonhole 0.5.2 on two identical
hosts. I recently noticed ".dovecot.sieve" and
".sieve/managesieve.sieve" are not replicating from one host to the
other in either direction. Mail is having no trouble replicating on both
hosts with dsync, it is only sieve files that are not replicating for
unclear reasons.
