By design/possible bug? Folders unmarked from sharing are still accessible
I'm on LinuxMint 17 Cinnamon desktop, Samba 4.2.1, and Windows 7 I can share folders fine, but when I unshare a folder, it remains visible and accessible to users. Right click on Downloads, choose Sharing Options

I'm a co developer of a linux distribution for the visually impaired and disabled called Sonar GNU linux, which you can learn more about at http://www.sonargnulinux.com. Centos 8 Mate?
Without wanting to sound too pushy, I'm wondering if there is any update on the status of Mate now that Centos 8 has been released? I would love to jump on C8 and start playing with it, but the lack of Mate is kind of a showstopper for me at the moment. -- MELVILLE THEATRE ~ Real D 3D Digital Cinema ~ www.melvilletheatre.com

Fresh install in Lenovo T420s gets stuck
I did a fresh installation of centos7 on a Lenovo T420s. But after rebooting the machine after the installation process finished I get messages of CPU got stuck for 22sec. This happens after logging in at gdm. I can't do anything - the machine hangs completely. Switching to tty only works before logging in at gdm. I really don't have an idea. My other T420 (without "s") works

new user introduction, and a few questions

Isn't this supposed to work regardless of whether I have an account on the machine I'm trying to connect to? Hear's what I'm trying to do. I'm basically trying to configure samba, however I

Out of memory
Hi, I have three machines running CentOS 7.6 in desktop mode. 2 are fine. 1 of them is having a memory issue that is Out of memory [17878] 1000 17878 2069991 42311 11898880 0 0 gnome-shell This gnome-shell looking at /var/log/messages after reboot - is the HIGHEST amount of memory. Looking at "top" now - it certainly does not use that amount of ram at this time.
