Problems with striped-replicated volumes on 3.3.1
Good afternoon, I am playing around with GlusterFS 3.1 in CentOS 6 virtual machines to see if I can get of proof of concept for a bigger project. In my setup, I have 4 GlusterFS servers with two bricks each of 10GB with XFS (per your quick-start guide). So, I have a total of 8 bricks. When bu I have no problem with distributed-replicated volumes. However, when I set up a striped replicated

Best practices for creating bricks
Hello, I am working with several Dell PE720xd. I have 24 disks per server at my disposal with a high end raid card with 1GB RAM and BBC. I will be building a distributed-replicated volume. Is it better for me to set up one or two large RAID0 arrays and use those as bricks, or should I make each hard drive a brick? This will be back end storage for an image search engine with lots of small file

Perhaps it could have been removed when ELFWriter was removed in r147615? http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project?view=rev&revision=147615 - Jan On Fri, Oct 26, 2012 at 4:41 PM, Jan Voung <jvoung at chromium.org> wrote: > Oops, sorry hit send too early -- meant to just make a draft email. [LLVMdev] changes to raw_fd_ostream
I'm getting seemingly odd SegFaults when writing out using a raw_fd_ostream in the current trunk (last version worked, believe it was 153818, or similar). Again, nothing in the release notes... should I be scanning the svn log? For example, I have something like: raw_fd_ostream fout("out.txt", errorStr=""); .... fout<<"Hello World, how are you!"\n";

Hello, Here is a Panic that happened while doing some testing with two servers both running Dovecot v2.2.26 on CentOS 7. These are test servers owning 32 accounts whose data were copied from our production server. What I've done is: server01# doveadm force-resync -A '*' server01# doveadm replicator replicate -f '*' For 5 accounts I obtained the following crash:

Heal Info Shows Split Brain, but "file not in split brain" when attempted heal
Hello I am using Glusterfs 3.10.5 on CentOS7. A replicated distributed volume with a dist-rep hot tier. During data migration, we noticed the tierd.log on one of nodes was huge. Upon review it seemed to be stuck on a certain set of files. Running a "gluster vol heal VOL info" showed that those same files caused problems in the tier, were in split brain. So we went to fix split

Alpha, configure and (brain dead) bash?
System: Alpha Tru64 5.1a, openssh 3.4p1 and bash 2.04. Problem: when configure comes to the test to find xauth, it is not able to find it in /usr/bin/X11. This path is listed as one to test while looking for xauth. It is of course found if I define the exact path with --with-xauth. Any one good with configure and bash to help me get this automatically found? Thanks in advance, Keith

R on the brain
I was sitting in the coffee room at work listening to people complain about a recent seminar about nanotechnology using the terms nanofluidics, nanofactory, nano-this, and nano-that ... I found myself thinking "well the speaker should just have said with(nano, ...) Un(?)fortunately there's no-one here I can share that thought with. -- 620B Bartram Hall

Buddy watch and the hint priority - brain teaser
Apologies if this is a resend, but I've sent this 12 hours ago and still can't see it on the list. Hi, I've just started to setup my phones with Buddy watch. Basically, it all works fine when using the simple example on the wiki: exten => 123,hint, SIP/some_sip_reg exten => 123,1,SIP/some_sip_reg BUT, what I need to do is dynamically decide where the hint checks for buddy

Preventing DomU corruption in case of Split-Brain of heartbeat
Hi Xen-Users! We run an large HA XEN system based on heartbeat2. Storage base is an infiniband storage cluster exporting iSCSI devices to the frontend HA XEN Machines. The iSCSI devices are used as pysical devices for the domUs using the block-iscsi mechanism (by the way thanks for this cool script). Recently we had a split brain in our heartbeat system. This causes both of our XEN servers to
