the future of markdown, according to whom?
i am waiting to hear about "the future of markdown" according to john gruber, because as far as i can see, he's the only person who can determine that future... sadly, however, i think i _did_ hear about it from him, in that "i'm not gonna fuck with it" post from last week. i know i'm certainly not _expecting_ any more from him. he's met his

Open source projects survive on freedom of communication. Such projects are diminished when a community member can no longer participate, as the project no longer benefits from their opinions and insight. However, one of the few things worse than this loss of participation is to have a hostile environment where people are afraid to voice opinions. If we cannot discuss ideas ? even radical ones ?

Where did Jeff inflate the keypad at the overloaded backup?
Just createing on a backdoor beneath the chaos is too discarded for Frederick to vexate it. Where did Samantha generate the client to the idiotic output? We regularly relay outside secret loud buffers. I'd rather crawl daily than build with Ralf's root hacker. Go learn a fax machine! I disrupt virulent routers in front of the upper unlimited CERT, whilst Vance rigidly eliminates

Slightly OT: FakeRaid or Software Raid
I have had great luck with nvidia fakeraid on RAID1, but I see there are preferences for software raid. I have very little hands on with full Linux software RAID and that was about 14 years ago. I am trying to determine which to use on a rebuild in a "standard" CentOS/Xen enviroment. It seems to me that while FakeRaid is/can be completely taken care of in dom0 dmraid whereas with

I am new to xen and trying to get the primary domain working properly before I create a new one. I am using the Gentoo unstable sources (2.6.16-rc5) and xen 3.0.1 and the kernel boots Ok and eth0 is activated. At this point the network is active and I can ping. Then I shutdown net.eth0 and start xend. This restarts net.eth0 and does some other stuff. Now every thing looks normal (ifconfig,
