Help with a R script using grid
Dear Dr. Murrell Sorry to bother you at home, so to speak, but my emails to r-help at r-project.org are falling into the void. I am trying to make a multiple panel plot with 26 rows and 2 columns with plots from a tool (genoPlotR) that is layered on grid. My code and session info are below. When I execute the code, I get a single plot in the center of the graphics page. I have tried

Webcuts - Navigating HTML help using only the keyboard
A while ago I put together a Javascript called Webcuts (GPL), which when included in an HTML document it will make it possible to navigate the page and follow links by just typing parts of the label of the links, i.e. no mouse is needed. I have, by using 'sed', added the script to every HTML help file generated by R as an example, cf.

Help navigating documentation for descriptive statistics
I am still trying to get used to R, and apparently haven't found the right place in the documentation to see how to do what I want in R. If I were to do this in C++, there'd be no problem: I'd write it all myself, but I want to learn R well enough it can save me a lot of coding time. Here is the first task I set for myself. I have a datasource (a vector of values). I want to

navigating in lists
Dear list members, I am stuck with navigating in a rather complicated list object. In general I would need a solution to access all first (or other) elements of the different sublists in one list: test=list(a=list(1,2),b=list(3,4),c=list(5,6)) like: test[[1:3]][[1]] which should result in c(1,3,5) Is there any way to access lists in such a way? Using unlist would create quite

Navigating Rails Projects
I''m finding my larger rails project increasing difficult to navigate. Model,. controller, view, and helpers being seperated, as well as there being so many small fragments, it can be awkward to find a partial on a complex page, and awkard to move among all the compents that need to be touched for a non-trivial change. Just wondering if anyone had any tips regarding this. Thanks, Nick --

navigating ggplot viewports
list(...) I can not get at the grid viewports in a ggplot2 plot. I know there is supposed to be a viewport called "panel_1_1" but downViewport() can't find it. Has the viewport been popped? I had a quick look at the functions involved (eg ggplot_plot) but there is no obvious problem there. > library(ggplot2) > qplot(1:10, 1:10) > current.viewport() viewport[ROOT] >

[LLVMdev] need pointers navigating through metadata in llvm :-)
Hi everyone, apologies for the mass spam, but I ran into an issue involving debug metadata in the bitcode linking stage (using gold) I am interested in helping out, so would like some pointers if possible. The proximate cause of the issue in our local version of llvm is that a Value is being written out, and the dump() of that value is actually not a value at all, but what looks like a reference

Navigating web pages using R
R-Help, I'm trying to obtain some data from a webpage which masks the URL from the user, so an explicit URL will not work. For example, when one navigates to the web page the URL looks something like: http://137.113.141.205/rpt34s.php?flags=1 (changed for privacy, but i'm not sure you could access it anyways since it's internal to the agency I work for). The site has three

Navigating to the upper floor of the /Home directory using Wine.
I want to be able to use Wine to reach the /home base partition or directory. By wanting such a thing, do I install Wine on the /usr directory or do I do that on home itself?
