How do I get the CEM (coarsened exact matching) package to run?
Hi, I am running a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8. When I try to load library(cem) and run any function, R crashes. Any suggestions as to why this is? Thanks in advance. I think the problem is that I don't have all the "infrastructure" I need to run CEM, but I have no clue what to do either... #Do I have tcltk (I have no clue what that is) capabilities("tcltk") tcltk

tcltk installation problem in R (Mac OS X version)

So, I installed tcl/tk from this page: http://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/tools/ It gets placed in /usr/local dir. and then I installed R. Next, in R, I set the TCL_LIBRARY variable by saying Sys.setenv(TCL_LIBRARY="/usr/local/lib/tcl8.5") and Sys.setenv(TK_LIBRARY="/usr/local/lib/tk8.5") But

weird bug with parallel, RSQlite and tcltk
Hello, I spent a lot of a time on a weird bug, and I just managed to narrow it down. In parallel code (here with parallel::mclappy, but I got it doMC/multicore too), if the library(tcltk) is loaded, R hangs when trying to open a DB connection. I got the same behaviour on two different computers, one dual-core, and one 2 xeon quad-core. Here's the code: library(parallel) library(RSQLite)

make check fails with default libblas
Dear All, Summary: ======== To test some packages, I want to build R-3.1.0 (current R devel). However, when I use the default libblas, make check fails with running code in 'reg-BLAS.R' ...make[3]: *** [reg-BLAS.Rout] Error 1 It does not fail, however, if I use libatlas3 or libopenblas. The same thing happens with the current R patched. I've google around and cannot find

Installing one channel GUI

Installation woes for rattle (and other packages)
Yesterday I wanted to try rattle on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I had (and still have) it running (though it complains on startup a bit -- I'll look into that later) on a different bootup on the same machine with 8.04 Hardy. I got an error that libglade cannot be found, and various attempts to get glade support failed. I removed and reinstalled R -- same problem. To avoid the issue of local setup
