SIAR problem with model running
Hi there, I am trying to run an MCMC on stable isotope data from certain organisms to determine their dietary habits in the package SIAR. I have prepared my data according to Inger, R., Jackson, A., Parnell, A., Bearhop, S. : SIAR V4 (Stable Isotope Analysis in R) an Ecologist's Guide (also better known as 'SIAR for dummies'), which is as follows: - consumer data table (columns

problems with siar package
Hi, my name is Julio, I'm trying to run a script, specifically with the siar package on R (I have attached the script) but the program collapses on during the run. The error message says: *** caught segfault *** address 0xb31941cc, cause 'memory not mapped' Traceback: 1: .C("siarmcmcv4", as.integer(numdata), as.integer(numsources), as.integer(numiso),

SIAR: problem> session aborted
I'm absolutely not brilliant with R yet and working with package SIAR. 1) SIAR reads the first column of a table.txt as "int" instead of "num". Who can help? 2) I therefore made tables with a data.frame() > that seems to work. But at the end of the loading proces of the SIARmodel, I get a warning screen with "Session Aborted". Everything crashes and I can start

Hello, Beginner, sorry if this is wasting anyone's time, but have been working on this for a couple of days now, think it should have take a few hours! The Problem: Error in Summary.factor(c(1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 4L, : max not meaningful for factors I have tried to re-arrange and check formula. I am working in SIAR, and cannot get model1 to run because of the error

Has anyone used SIAR package add on?

See http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Errors-in-SIAR-td4029804.html. In it I note that there are problems with the function from siar (not SIAR) you are using, but that this may not be "your" problem, that the function calls for matrices (you

Problems loading siar package
Hello, I recently bought a new Macbook Pro and installed R via a disk image from an older computer - it seems to work fine. I then installed the package "siar", tried to load it via the library command and received the following messages (note the "mvtnorm" package did not appear to load correctly): trying URL

problem loading siar
Hi, I have a problem while loading the "siar" program in R. When I am loading siar, system does not load convexhull. On the screen I have seen such writings. The following object(s) are masked from ‘package:spatstat’: convexhull How can I load the convexhull, how can I unmask from this package? I will be appreciated if you give advice about this. conditions simpler way
Dear All, I have a MCMC result in x1. I was wondering if there is a simpler, more elegant way of evaluating the estimate of an integral then this (I am pretty sure there is): Also if I want to count the x's say -1<x<2 but not the ones in the burn in period. [code] z <- -2 burnin <- 2000 int1 <-

Going from Coda Files to R2WinBUGS
I'm currently using JAGS as my Bayesian program of choice due to working off of an older mac running OSX. I'd like to utilize some of the functions from R2WinBUGS, however. As such, I'm attempting to write something to go from coda output dumped by JAGS into the bugs object format - I've looked for functions that will convert from an mcmc object to a bugs object, but

MCMCpack combining chains
Deal all, as MCMClogit does not allow for the specification of several chains, I have run my model 3 times with different random number seeds and differently dispersed multivariate normal priors. For example: res1 = MCMClogit(y~x,b0=0,B0=0.001,data=mydat, burnin=500, mcmc=5500, seed=1234, thin=5) res2 = MCMClogit(y~x,b0=1,B0=0.01,data=mydat, burnin=500, mcmc=5500, seed=5678, thin=5) res3 =

Plotting averages of y per x
Hello! I often plot average of y instead of all y values, since one can easily see the trend if there is to many points and/or x might be like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ... and you might get a cloud (which can also be informative) and/or columns of points. Anyway, learning with R i get stucked. I have the data in table burnins1, with the following names: names(burnins1) [1] "Model"

Hi, I have a dataset with the binary outcome Y(0,1) and 4 covariates (X1,X@,X#,X$). I am trying to use MCMClogit to model logistic regression using MCMC. I am getting an error where it doesnt identify the covariates ,although its reading in correctly. The dataset is a sample of actual dataset. problems with too many NA in the function ideal() from pscl package.
