WinXP cannot join domain (Samba PDC on FreeBSD)
Dear Sirs,
I created user account "jupiter$" and did "smbpasswd -a -m jupiter".
That always worked for WinNT4, but WinXP refuses to join domain (I
applied registry "requiresignorseal" hack)
What do I need to add/remove from smb.conf ? I'm using FreeBSD.
smb.conf is attached

AR-GARCH with additional variable - estimation problem
Dear list members,
I am trying to estimate parameters of the AR(1)-GARCH(1,1) model. I have one
additional dummy variable for the AR(1) part.
First I wanted to do it using garchFit function (everything would be then
estimated in one step) however in the fGarch library I didn't find a way to
include an additional variable.
That would be the formula but, as said, I think it is impossible to add

discrepancy in the result of R and SAS on same data in logistics regression
Dear Members,
Greetings!
I have come across a discrepancy shown by R and SAS results on same data for logistics regression..
When I processed the above csv file(1000.csv) for predicting the Action (i/c) by Age Group(1-7,Na) and Gender(M,F,Na) with GLM of R I get:
R result
Call:
glm(formula = Action ~ Gender + AgeGroup, family = binomial,
data = mydata1, na.action = na.pass)

non linear models
Dear Members of the Help List,
Honestly, I feel a little bit stupid - I would like to do something rather
simple: fit a non linear model to existing data, to be more precise I wanted
to start with simple higher order polynomials.
Unfortunately, I do not quite understand the examples in the helpfiles for
the nlm, nls and nlsModel commands.
Could anyone please provide a simple example to get me

post hoc in repeated measures of anova
Hallo, I have this dataset with repeated measures. There are two
within-subject factors, "formant" (2 levels: 1 and 2) and "f2 Ref" (25
levels: 670, 729, 788, 846, 905, 1080, 1100, 1120, 1140, 1170, 1480,
1470, 1450, 1440, 1430, 1890, 1840, 1790, 1740, 1690, 2290, 2210,
2120, 2040, 1950), and one between-subject factor, lang (2 levels:1
and 2). The response variable
