plotting and coloring longitudinal data with three time points (ggplot2)
Dear list, I have been struggling with this for some time now, and for the last hour I have been struggling to make a working example for the list. I hope someone out there have some experience with plotting longitudinal data that they will share. My data is some patient data with three different time stamps. First the patients are identified at different times (first time stamp). Second, they

Any assistance is appreciated in relation to how to remove the missing values so

(Meta-analysis) How to build|fake a [n]lm[e] object ?
Dear all, I recently had to review the current litterature about some medical treatment with two possible variants (let's call them A and B). I collected all available prospective randomized trials about this treatment : I got four trials for the A variant and three for the B variant, all studies comparing one variant to a "suitably choosen" placebo. Two classes of variables are of

I have the following data ID x y time 1 10 20 0 1 10 30 1 1 10 40 2 2 12 23 0 2 12 25 1 2 12 28 2 2 12 38 3 3 5 10 0 3 5 15 2 ..... x is time invariant, ID is the subject id number, y is changing over time. I want to find out the difference between the first and last observed y value for each subject and get a table like ID x y 1 10 20 2 12 15 3 5 5 ...... Is there any easy way to generate

Meta-regression with lmer() ? If so, how ?
Dear List, I am (again) looking at meta-regression as a way to refine meta-analytic results. What I want to do is to assess the impact of some fixed factors on the results of a meta-analysis. Some of them may be crossed with the main factor of the meta-analysis (e. g. clinical presentation of a disease, defining subgroups in each of the studies under analysis), some of them may be a grouping
