Plotting multiple ablines
I really want to do this: abline( a=tan(-kT*pi/180), b=kY-tan(-kT*pi/180)*kX ) where kX,kY and kT are vectors of equal length. But I can't do that with abline unless I use a loop, and I haven't figured out the least unelegant way of writing the loop yet. So is there a way to do this without a loop? Or if I am to resort to the loop, what's the best way of doing it considering that I

A naive lsoda question....
Hello, I am an R newbie, trying to use lsoda to solve standard Lotka-Volterra competition equations. My question is: how do I pass a parameter that varies with time, like say, phix <- 0.7 + runif(tmax) in the example below. # defining function lotvol <- function(t,n,p){ x <- n[1]; y <- n[2] rx <- p["rx"]; ry <- p["ry"] Kx <-

Differential Equations Using R?
To whom it may concern, I am a student at Macaleste College, and next semester Macalester is going to offer a course for CellBio that is mainly statistically based. For the most part the students will be using R for analysis. The problem is there will be some simple differential equations for the students to solve. The committee that in charge of the classes corriculam would like only to

Windows 98 logon server problem
Hi, I have Samba version 2.2.7 up and running as a PDC for several Windows 2000/XP clients, as well as file sharing working. However, when I try to use it as a Win9X logon server, I can not seem to make it work. Whenever I try to logon from the Win98 computer, I get the error message "Incorrect Parameter" (in windows) and get the following message in the nmbd.log file: =-=-=

VCPU affinity
What is the best way to pin VCPUs. It looks like the implementation of affinity currently is at best only "soft". Regards, K. Y _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

various vmbus review comments
I just took a quick look at the vmbus code, and have the following comments: - why is count_hv_channel() even a function? - your .h files need to be consolidated and renamed. You will need a single hyperv.h file for include/linux/ that will contain some of what the vmbus*.h files have in it, but not all. Please merge things together to have: - include/linux/hyperv.h What is

Busy Lamp Field SIP Phone
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good SIP phone with a busy lamp field? I need my operator to be able to see extension status for about 20 extensions and transfer via HOLD + extension button. I've got a pair of SNOM 360s with the sidecar, but I'm very disappointed with them. The buttons are cheap and rubbery like a Sipura 841, the handset cord is short and cheap, the audio quality

vmbus driver
Greg, A few days ago you applied all the outstanding patches for the Hyper-V drivers. With these patches, I have addressed all of the known review comments for the vmbus driver (and a lot of comments/issues in other drivers as well). I am still hoping I can address whatever other issues/comments there might be with the intention to get the vmbus driver out of staging in the current window.

R binaries
Dear Rexperts, I intend to burn some R CDs to colleagues in Vietnam. I want to put all binary files for base as well as contributed packages (for both Windows and Linux). It is very time consuming if I download files by files. Is there a place a can buy a CD with all the mentioned files? multiple lattice, xyplot & levelplot on same page
Dear R-users, I'd like to place an xyplot() at the top of a page and a levelplot() at the bottom of the same page, and have the x-axes be the same. I've come close to finding a solution through Rarchive, and can produce an upside-down version of what I'd like (levelplot() on the top - see code below). However, the following error occurs when I try and plot the xyplot() at the top:
