masked by GlobalEnv ???
Hi R Listers, I am trying to upload a data file and I received this message. It seems that I am still able to make graphs and Aeventexhumed still works in the analysis. Can I ignore this message or do I need to do something about this? Error in eval(expr, envir, enclos) : object 'Rayos' not found???
Hi R-listers, I am trying to make a trellis boxplot with the HSuccess (y-axis) in each Rayos (beach sections) (x-axis), for each Aeventexhumed (A, B, C) - nesting event. I am not able to do so and keep receiving: Error in eval(expr, envir, enclos) : object 'Rayos' not found Please advise, Jean require(plyr) resp <- read.csv("ABC Arribada R File Dec 12 Jean

Best method for comparing rectangles sections of beach
Hi R-listers, I am trying to compare sections of the beach separated from the HTL to the Veg (east to west), separated into indices (-5 to 30m), HTLIndex. Cross parallel (north to south) are major beach sections (Rayos 1, 2, 3, 4 and MNB). I am thinking to do an ANOVA for each independent rectangle of beach (not exactly but will be treated as). The HTL from (0-5m) in Rayo 1 is one rectangle of

Q - scatterplot, plot function & trellis linear regressions???
Hi R-listers, Q1) What is the difference between the scatterplot and plot function? Q2) I am able to make a graph with the scatterplot function: scatterplot(DevelopIndex ~ Veg, + data = Turtle, + xlab = "Vegetation border (m)", + ylab = "Embryonic development index") And have been successful. But I do not know if the lines are for:

Interpreting script - write.csv
Hi All, I am a beginner to R and a prof helped me with some script. I am having trouble understanding the below line. Is it finding the file turtlehatch.csv? I do not have my working directory set to this file. If so I tried ("file.choose") and it did not work. R did nothing in response, no error message with this entry and the below entry. Can you please help me interpret? :

Error in variable ' _' converted to a factor AND *tmp*
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the error I'm receiving means below. I thought it said that Aeventexhumed should be converted to a factor, so I tried to do so and received the following error. Please advise. data frame row statistics (mean)?
Hello, I am trying to calculate the mean value of each row in a data frame (d), I am having troubles and getting errors using the code I have written. Below is a brief example of the code, any thought or suggestions would be great. Thank you for your time, Doug # Example Code: d <- data.frame(st1=c(1,2,3,4), st2=c(2,5,6,7), st3=c(5,5,NA,7), st4=c(6,5,7,8)) avg <-

How do I compare 47 GLM models with 1 to 5 interactions and unique combinations?
Hi R-listers, I have developed 47 GLM models with different combinations of interactions from 1 variable to 5 variables. I have manually made each model separately and put them into individual tables (organized by the number of variables) showing the AIC score. I want to compare all of these models. 1) What is the best way to compare various models with unique combinations and different number

Correction to PR #9631 (PR#9632)
Full_Name: Jeff Hallman Version: 2.4.1 OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (132.200.32.34) When I filed this a few minutes ago, I left off the rewritten read.ssd(). I've included it at the end this time. read.ssd() invokes PROC COPY to create an xport file, but PROC COPY has some annoying limitations that read.ssd() should deal with. The first is that PROC COPY doesn't work with member

barplot usage
Hi, I?m trying to make a barplot with the following dataframe, with information on relative frequency per sediment type (ST) for some species: Species ST1 ST2 ST3 SP_A 10 60 30 ... At x-axis are (should be ...) the species names and at y-axis the frequency per sediment, in stacked bars. I tried to use barplot command but with no results. Could anyone help me on this? Thanks in

select part of files from a list.files
Hi everyone. I'm working on a list of files (about 50 files). I've listed them thanks to the function: list.files. Each of my files contains 35000 lines of data. These files may also contain some missing values NA (sometimes till 10 000 NAs following each other). The aim is to do some correlation matrices between these files (I already have the script). But as I have often missing values,

Problem with 'nls' fitting logistic model (5PL)
Dear R-Helpers, I'm working with immunoassay data and 5PL logistic model. I wanted to experiment with different forms of weighting and parameter selection, which is not possible in instrument software, so I turned to R. I am using R 2.14.2 under Win7 64bit, and the 'nls' library to fit the model - I started with the same model and weighting type (1/y) as in the instrument to see

[LLVMdev] [llvm] r195903 - AArch64: Fix a bug about disassembling post-index load single element to 4 vectors
I"m getting build errors I think from one of your patches O tjoml. You need to have a build area that builds with clang and does warnings as errors to avoid these issues on putback. here is my configure step for example: /home/rkotler/llvm_trunk/configure --enable-werror --prefix=/home/rkotler/ll vm/install CC=/home/rkotler/llvm_3_2/install/bin/clang CXX=/home/rkotler/llvm_3_
