Warning when sourcing file after require
Hi I have recently upgraded to R 2.15.1. Since the upgrade, I am getting some odd behaviour that I don't understand. If I source a file which has a function with a require (or library) statement in it, then the first time I source it behaves as expected. If I then call the function (so that the require statement is evaluated) the function also runs ok. However, if I then subsequently try to

possibility to determine whether a script is "sourced"?
Dear R community, I am running some rather large scripts either by executing single blocks of them separately or by executing them at once via source('script.R') Now there is a lot of code in those scripts that I only want to run when I run them manually, so I wonder whether there is any way to automatically find out whether the script is run manually stepwise or whether it is run via

segfault when running heatmap()
Hi, I was wondering if someone in the mailing list has any insight into this segfault error that I consistently find when running a script containing heatmap() in R 2.8.1 and 2.8.0 on a Linux 64-bit machine. Some points: 1. This occurs when running heatmap(). 2. Interestingly, if I source() the script or copy and paste the script in its entirety, this error occurs. However, if I run the

Dear all, Thanks to those of you who have replied, the majority of the comments pointed out that the error caused by scan may originate from another function, and closer inspection of the output from traceback() reveals that it is in fact the read.table function where the error is originating from the full output of which I have included below. The error msg I recieve is Error in
