[PATCH 3/5] vhost: Make vhost a separate module
Currently, vhost-net is the only consumer of vhost infrastructure. So vhost infrastructure and vhost-net driver are in a single module. Separating this as a vhost.ko module and a vhost-net.ko module makes it is easier to share code with other vhost drivers, e.g. vhost-blk.ko, tcm-vhost.ko. [PATCH RESEND 0/5] Add vhost-blk support
Hi folks, [I am resending to fix the broken thread in the previous one.] This patchset adds vhost-blk support. vhost-blk is a in kernel virito-blk device accelerator. Compared to userspace virtio-blk implementation, vhost-blk gives about 5% to 15% performance improvement. [PATCH 0/4] Add virtio-iommu driver
Implement the virtio-iommu driver following version 0.6 of the specification [1]. Previous version, RFCv2, was sent in November [2]. This version addresses Eric's comments and changes the device number. (Since last week I also tested and fixed the probe/release functions, they now use devm properly.) I did not include ACPI support because the next IORT specifications isn't ready yet (even

Problem having two belongs_to of the same class type
I have a Shipment class that is used to ship packages between Branches. However, when I try to have two belongs_to in Shipment called shipped_to and shipped_from I can''t seem to make it work. I can get it to display the form properly but when I select the branches and click save I get the following error... "Branch expected, got String" Any ideas? I have added some code

[RFC PATCH v2 0/5] Add virtio-iommu driver
Implement the virtio-iommu driver following version 0.5 of the specification [1]. Previous version of this code was sent back in April [2], implementing the first public RFC. Since then there has been lots of progress and discussion on the specification side, and I think the driver is in a good shape now. The reason patches 1-3 are only RFC is that I'm waiting on feedback from the Virtio TC

Problems with normality req. for ANOVA
I am conducting an experiment with four independent variables each of which has three or more factor levels. The sample size is quite large i.e. several thousand. The dependent variable data does not pass a normality test but "visually" looks close to normal so is there a way to compute the affect this would have on the p-value for ANOVA or is there a way to perform an nonparametric test

[PATCH 0/3] Use sbitmap instead of percpu_ida
Removing the percpu_ida code nets over 400 lines of removal. It's not as spectacular as deleting an entire architecture, but it's still a worthy reduction in lines of code. Untested due to lack of hardware and not understanding how to set up a target platform. Changes from v1: - Fixed bugs pointed out by Jens in iscsit_wait_for_tag() - Abstracted out tag freeing as requested by Bart

Trying to learn how to write a function... can't define a variable??
I am just starting to experiment with writing a function and have run into what seems like a limitation or more likely a lack of understanding on my part. Very Simple Example: I want to define a function that does 1+1=2. z<-1 ADD<-function(x) { x<-x+1 } ADD(z) z output for z is 1 not the expected 2. Now if I were to do print(x+1) instead of x<-x+1 it does return 2, so the

[PATCH 0/2] Use sbitmap instead of percpu_ida
From: Matthew Wilcox <mawilcox at microsoft.com> This is a pretty rough-and-ready conversion of the target drivers from using percpu_ida to sbitmap. It compiles; I don't have a target setup, so it's completely untested. I haven't tried to do anything particularly clever here, so it's possible that, for example, the wait queue in iscsi_target_util could be more clever, like
