ZINB multi-level model using MCMCglmm
Hi, I am Olga Viedma. I am running a Zero-inflated negative binomial (ZINB) multi-level model using MCMCglmm package. I have a doubt. Can I use the "Liab" outputs as fitted data, instead of the predicted values from "predict"? The liab outputs fit very well with the observed data, whereas the predicted values are so bad. Thanks in advance, Olga Viedma D . Olga

treeview, master detail forms, sortable grids, etc..?
Are there any (preferable opensource) pre made widgets like calendar widgets, treeviews, sortable grids, etc.. that I can pluginto a rails application? If they are not build in Rubyy, then are there any examples an how to integrate them? Problem with converting a list of grids to a list of polygons
Hi. For a spatial analysis (its visualization) I need to produce a map of conditions and traits. When I used SpatialPixelsDataFrame (sp package) my grid cells were regular and between each row was a small gap, which is not only messy but incorrect. So I generated the coords of each grid from the centroids in order to elongate the cells manually (or does anybody know another way to solve this?).

[PATCH]Make wobbly's bezier patch to work with grids that aren't 4x4.
Hi, Recently, I started taking a look at wobbly's source (I was interested in it's physics... ;-)) I noticed that GRID_WIDTH and GRID_HEIGHT were defined to be 4, and I wanted to see how the physics look like with grid sizes that aren't 4x4. I changed the defines to my new grid size, but unfortunately it didn't work. I investigated this "bug" (it's not exactly a bug

tics and grids
Hi, Whats the easiest way to set a desired interval for tics on axes in R ? And will the 'grid' command put gridlines on all tics automatically ? I tend to get stuck with graphs with ranges 0-1 with only 2 tics and 2 gridlines in the 0-1 range, while I would like 10 tics (or every 0.1) tnx, Piet please reply to pvremortNOSPAM at vub.ac.be

Spatial Statistics on Grids
Dear colleagues, I'm searching for methods to analyze spatial distributions of cells with certain properties in a regular grid. For instance, consider a grid, where a part of the cells have the property "0", and the others have the property "1". I'm looking for statistics I could use for characterizing the spatial distribution of the "1-cells". Does anyone

putting reference lines or grids into the background of a plot
Dear R-community, using R.2.9.1, how do you put reference lines or grids into the _background_ of a plot? For example: barplot(3:1) abline(h = seq(0.5, 2.5 ,0.5), col = "red", lty = "dashed") -> The lines are before the bars (and the line parts going through the bars might be considered as "chart junk", I suppose). Now, in this toy example I could just do the

3D-plots of 2D-grids
Hello everybody, I have an Ascii-grid (100x100m) with population density over Switzerland (local coordinations system, CH LV03). Now I would like to have a nice graphic to present the data. I would like to make a plot that will show the density as the z-variable and raise for example a stacking pillar showing how high the density is in that hectare. I attached a map that's similar to what I

Facing problems with YUI 2 grids, nesting does not work as expected (example markup inside)
Hey, thank you for reading this post, maybe you can help me. I am trying to nest grids, but it does not work, see my lines (extracted and shorten): Just copy, save as html, and then you''ll see what I mean: the orange solid bordered list items should be in the red dotted list container, but that''s not the case. Can you help me with this? <html> <head>

importing ascii grids (for gstat)
Hello, Is there anyone who could give me an example of how to import an ascii grid (i.e. ArcGIS exported raster) into R. I want to use it with gstat but don't know the appropriate import routine. Thanks very much for your help. Regards, femke Femke Reitsma Graduate Student (ABD) Geography Department 2181 LeFrak Hall University of Maryland College Park, MD 20742 Phone: 301-405-4121
