dixon test
I would like to extend Dixon's values beyond 30. I've read over Rorabacher article but didn't understand the equations well enough to convert them to Excel and then "drag" the cells out extending the n. dixon test
Hi, I need some help using the R outliers package. I would like to perform a Q-test (Dixon test) on my data set. I used the dixon.test function, but I cannot understand what is the confidence level used to perform the test. I have n=101 (n= number of data). So, can I use directly dixon.test ? What about qdixon and qtable functions? thank you so much! -- View this message in context:

increasing scrollback lines/rw0901
I'd like to increase the number of lines available via the vertical scrolling bar when running RGui.exe under win95. Would think this is set in options() or /etc/Rconsole, but haven't been able to figure out how. Note that it's output I'm concerened with viewing, not the command history. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Cutom graphing : Which package (Base, Grid or Lattice package) ?
Hi All, Over the years, I have written a number of custom time series graphing modules (in ANSI C). I want to make these graphs available in R. After considerable thought (as well as feedback fom this NG), I have decided to re-write (atleast some of the routines in R). Basically, this is what my R function needs to do: 1. create a parent (container) frame 2. Define n (vertically stacked)

ext3 and quota still problematic?
Hello, we used ext3 with diskquota and kernel 2.4.19 and 2.4.20 and went into the described problem here: http://www.zip.com.au/~akpm/linux/ext3/ext3-usage.html see Status Were there any merges with -ac in this direction in 2.4.21 so it might be fixed? Will there be merges in the future? Does kernel 2.6.x also have this problem? Thanks alot for your answers. -- Noèl Köthe

problematic ACL with shared folders and maildir
Hello, Recently we have been asked to deploy some shared imap folders within our instance of dovecot. However, we ran into a problem with how ACLs are implemented, and consequences regarding maildir++ mailboxes. Long story short: * IMAP clients sees the hierarchy as a tree: sample/1, where 1 is a child of sample * on the filesystem, sample/1 is represented as .sample and .sample.1, both on

installing printer drivers through APW problematic
Hi, I'm part of an organization managing Windows clients with a couple of GNU/Linux servers. We're having some trouble configuring our Samba 3 Debian Linux server. It's just a domain member with authentification done with a Windows AD Domain Controller, it's supposed to be our new print server. The printers have already been set up for lprng. R-alpha: "invisible" (yet again): a more problematic bug[let]
I think this is a more problematic buglet in (implicit/explicit) ``invisible behavior''). Try this (all versions of R from 0.49 to 0.60): test0 <- function() c(1,2) test <- function(two = FALSE) c(1, if(two) 2) testR <- function(two = FALSE) return(c(1, if(two) 2)) test0()# 1 2 as it should test() #

Default t test in R is Welch's test, not Student's, and can be very problematic
Hi all. I'm just writing to draw your attention to this paper, which is Open Access: Curtis, D. Welch?s t test is more sensitive to real world violations of distributional assumptions than student?s t test but logistic regression is more robust than either.
