[isocpp-parallel] Proposal for new memory_order_consume definition
If carries_dependency affects semantics, then it should not be an attribute. The original design, or at least my understanding of it, was that it not have semantics; it was only a suggestion to the compiler that it should preserve dependencies instead of inserting a fence at the call site. Dependency-based ordering would be preserved in either case. But I think we're moving away from that

Segmentation fault running doveadm index (lucene) on a big mailbox
Hi, on a server running dovecot 2.2.12 I have a user with a quite big mailbox (~37000 Mails in the INBOX). I tried to enable full text search using the fts_lucene backend (dovecot 2.2.12). However, the `doveadm -v index -u <username> INBOX` always runs into a segmentation fault after mail number 24200: I tried to get a backtrace using gdb: doveadm(<username>): Info: INBOX:

dovecot fts_lucene indexes not being updated
Hi everyone, I have a dovecot 2.1.6 setup with fts_lucene. The lucene indexes get created/updated fine when I do a manual search thru telnet. However, if I run a webapp that uses the php::imap_search function, the index never gets created/updated. I run indo the same problem with thunderbird and full-body search. Anyone has some insight into this? Regards, -Joe

fts lucene crashes in 2.2.24
Hi, I've just enabled FTS via Lucene on my Dovecot 2.2.24 installation but I see the indexer crashing ?always?. This simple testcase with a very tiny testing mailbox exposes the issue immediately: doveadm -v index -u anmesse INBOX Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. rescan_clear_unseen_mailbox (rescan_ctx=rescan_ctx at entry=0x0, vname=0x555555839820 "INBOX.Testfolder

Lucene and Zlib with 2.2.1
Hello, I have an "archive" folder in my inbox, where I manually stick old mails into a compressed mbox format. Since upgrading to Dovecot 2.2.1, I've started seeing messages like the following in my log files: imap(...): Error: lucene: Failed to sync mailbox INBOX: Mailbox isn't selectable indexer-worker(...): Error: lucene: Failed to sync mailbox INBOX: Mailbox

"starting" dovecot
My system never issues the "dovecot start" command. I do, however, run /usr/local/libexec/dovecot/imap on port 9xxx. I talk to the server through port 9xxx and through the preauth tunnel. Is this arrangement OK? Are there some things that will only work if "dovecot" is invoked? Thanks, -- Dave Abrahams BoostPro Computing Software Development

Dovecot + NFS + FreeBSD breakage ?
Hi, I am trying to update my old mails servers from dovecot 2.1.15 to 2.2.12 (freebsd ports) and upgrade to FreeBSD 10.0-P3. My mail storage are on NFS with index also. On 2.1.15 everything is ok, and in 10-mail.conf I have the good things to be added as wiki tell me (eg http://wiki2.dovecot.org/NFS). BUT, when I try a single connection like : $ telnet ::1 110 Trying ::1... Connected to

Moving to hardlinks?
I just discovered that dovecot supports copying messages via hard-linking. I have a huge mailbox hierarchy of existing messages that I'd prefer to store that way. Is there a simple way to transform non-hard-linked storage to hard-linked? TIA, -- Dave Abrahams Meet me at BoostCon: http://www.boostcon.com BoostPro Computing http://www.boostpro.com

fts = squat solr
I don't know if this was supposed to have changed with dovecot2, but http://wiki.dovecot.org/Plugins/FTS shows fts = squat solr so, since I have the lucene plugin?"fts = lucene" works by itself?I tried fts = squat lucene but: $ doveadm index '*' doveadm(dave): Error: fts: Failed to initialize backend 'squat lucene': Unknown backend So, is that syntax
