Samba Bind DLZ Slow queries
Hai Eben (victor), ? Great to hear that, you opened TCP 53 ? edns?tcp/53?packet size 4096. dns??? udp/53 packet size 512? ? having that right helps?a lot, but only that is often not enough.? This is why i add the options also to resolv.conf and?bind.? ? test a bit, and see what works best for you. ? Great weekend. ? Greetz, ? Louis Van: Eben Victor [mailto:eben.victor at gmail.com]

[lld] Has anybody ever run into the Solaris linker before?
Recently LLD made it to the front page of HN (yay!): https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13670458 This comment about the Solaris linker surprised me: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13672364 """ > To me, the biggest advantage is cross compiling Not all system linkers have this problem. For example, Solaris ld(1) is perfectly capable of cross-linking any valid ELF file.

Video interview with Eben Moglen.
Hi all, Hope this isn't off-topic, but I thought the lists might be interested in a video interview I did with Eben Moglen, the head of the Software Freedom Law Center. Eben has given legal advice and help for Samba for many years, and is a very interesting person to listen to. Hope people find this enjoyable: http://google-opensource.blogspot.com/2012/07/geek-time-with-eben-moglen.html

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] where to send test suite errors
illumos has done a free and clear implementation of locale support for libc, and, in fact, it was taken from FreeBSD. Have a look at: https://www.illumos.org/projects/illumos-gate/repository/show/usr/src/lib/libc/port/locale I'd love it if we could get libc++ ported to illumos. I've got two bugs already filed for issues I had with the build infrastructure that our porting system turned

Yes I have added "server services = -dns" to my smb.conf file and also removed "dns forwarder =" I've done the same setup but on Samba 4.7.7, RHEL6, named 9.8 and this works perfect. [cfe-dev] [RFC] Open sourcing and contributing TAPI back to the LLVM community
To belatedly second Juergen, yes I think the concept of TBD files is great, and not just useful to the specific XCode situation of proprietary libraries. For example the mapfiles[1] of Illumos are exactly analogous and used not because the libc of Illumos is closed source (it isn't) but rather to ensure comparability across Illumos versions. The libc (shared library) ABI of Illumos is the

Thanks Roland, You are correct. Our Bind9 DLZ is version 9.9.4. I'll have to check if I will be able to upgrade to a newer version of Bind, these are on our production servers. [LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] where to send test suite errors
Open bug reports, and if you could add me to the CC list that would be great. I did the Solaris port for a customer and I have a couple of diffs that I need to commit, which may fix some things for you. I'm not sure how applicable it is to Illumos, but on Solaris 10 and 11 on x86-64 they've got LLVM/Clang (self-hosting) running on top of libc++ / libcxxrt and able to build their own

pvclust
Hello there, Here's a question regarding p-values on clusters produced by hierarchical cluster analysis. A web search led me to the program pvclust to tackle this problem. But when I run the problem I get strange results. The 'AU' (approximately unbiased) p-values are very different from the 'BP' values (ordinary boot-strap) p-values. The AUs commonly are in the 80-100
