[PATCH klibc] run-init: Add dry-run mode
initramfs-tools wants to validate the real init program before running it, as there is no way out once it has exec'd run-init. This is complicated by the increasing use of symlinks for /sbin/init and for /sbin itself. We can't simply resolve them with 'readlink -f' because any absolute symlinks will be resolved using the wrong root. Add a dry-run mode (-n option) to run-init

[PATCH] run-init: add drop_capabilities support
Building on the work in ff0a614bd724f6c4c6a5014a9955dc1bc028f336, this moves the capability code down into the run-init library, so that run-init can use it as well, via the new "-d" flag. [patch] kinit cmdline handling change
Following mail advice from maximilian attems (thanks). The following patch changes 2 parts of kinit's command line parameter handling. 1) Parse command line parameters passed to kinit *before* /proc/cmdline, in order to allow overrides 2) Pass this resultant command line to the init program, rather than forcing the kinit caller to pass all /proc/cmdline parameters to the kinit call.

[PATCH] kinit/kinit.c
A patch for a few more hiccups and trivialities in kinit.c: * The check_path() calls check for "/root" and "/old_root" - I believe that should be "/root" and "/root/old_root". * chdir("/") is recommended after pivot_root() * init_argv[0] isn't set properly to the basename pointed to by char *s - this fix also eliminates six lines of

[PATCH] Allow the initramfs to be persisted across root changes
systemd supports switching back to the initramfs during shutdown in order to make it easier to clean up the root file system. This is desirable in order to allow us to remove keys from RAM before rebooting, making it harder to obtain confidential information by rebooting into an environment that scrapes RAM contents. [PATCH v2] kinit: Add drop_capabilities support.
This patch adds the ability to kinit to allow the dropping of POSIX capabilities. kinit is modified by this change, such that it understands the new kernel command line "drop_capabilities=" that specifies a comma separated list of capability names that should be dropped before switching over to the next init in the boot strap (typically on the root disk). When processing capabilities

[PATCH] RFC: Running initscripts from kinit
For our platforms, we'd like to embed several different userland scripts / programs that are executed before we have mounted the root filesystem as part of the initramfs payload. Specifically, I'd like to have multiple scripts executed before do_mounts(), so I coded up this simple do_initscripts function that executes all executables found in /etc/init.d in alphabetically sorted order. Seemingly bizarre behavior in R CMD check
Maybe someone can help shed some light on an odd and repeatedly irritating error I noticed when running the check Perl script on my R 1.3 project. In following it line by line, I traced my problem down to the code/documentation matching within check, the most recent version of which seems to verify proper .Rd formatting by means of R's codoc and undoc functions. Under R --vanilla, those two

Dial cmd help
I have a dial cmd buried amongst a series of others in a macro like so: exten => s,n,Dial(SIP/1${ARG1}@sip_peer,60,T) Reason for adding a "1" is all the others in the macro don't want the "1" so this was easiest at the time. Now I need to send NA long distance through this macro. All the other dial cmds will just work, but this one is going to try to dial 11NXXNXXXXXX

kinit cmdline handling change
The following patch swaps the command line handling of kinit. It seems apparent that, if one were to call kinit like so: kinit root=/foo/bar They would be attempting to override the /proc/cmdline. As it stands, kinit parses the /proc/cmdline *first*, meaning the above does not work. Just for a simple use case: User A has an encrypted root device, root=/dev/hda3 Some init scripts detect this,

nfsmount inside kinit
Hey all, bug report time. I started tracking this down, but am at a bit of a loss for time, so I figured I'd report over this list to see if anyone else has the time to fix this or at least find the error. When calling nfsmount on it's own, say "nfsmount 1.2.3.4:/home/nfs /root" it works just fine, however, when calling nfsmount_main from within kinit (via nfsroot=), things get

Test for argument in ...
Hello! Say I have a function foo1, which has argument ... to pass various arguments to foo2 i.e. foo1 <- function(x, ...) { foo2(x, ...) } Say that foo2 accepts argument arg1 and I would like to do the following: - if foo1 is called as foo1(x) then I would like to assign some value to arg1 inside foo1 before calling foo2 arg1 <- "some value" foo2(x, arg1=arg1) - if foo1 is

[PATCH v3 0/2] Support drop directories directly from kinit
This patchset applies to klibc mainline. This patchset introduces the ability to kinit to execute scripts or executable files present in in the initramfs before switching over to the root filesystem. This functionality is implemented in a newly introduced run_parts() call, which calls scandir() to iterate through files which in then executes in sequence. run_parts() is also available as a

Function argument as string
Hi, Suppose a write a function a_fn<-function(arg1) { return(table(arg1)); } I have a column called AGE. Now I call the function c = a_fn(AGE); When a_fn is called, AGE is received in arg1. My question is, how do I access the actual name of the argument arg1? i.e, inside the function, i need to know that the actual name of arg1 is "AGE" in this case. Thanks in advance,

[PATCH v2 0/4] Support drop directories directly from kinit
This patchset applies to klibc mainline. This patchset introduces the ability to kinit to execute scripts or executable files present in in the initramfs before switching over to the root filesystem. It is implemented by first implementing scandir() and alphasort() as present in POSIX.1-2008 in klibc itself, and then using that as the basis for iterating and executing files via a run_scripts()

callforward with asterisk-gui.problem with stdexten
Hello, i am trying to enable call forwarding on asterisk 1.6 with asterisk-gui If i set my stdexten as follows (with the lines i marked) everything seems like working. But if i make any change on asterisk-gui and apply it.. it recreates the macro-stdexten and deletes my configuration regarding to it. So where should i add my call-forward configuration??? Where am i making a mistake??
