[Bridge] brctl uses incorrect sysfs path
Hi, I noticed that brctl (or more accurately, libbridge) is using the wrong path when doing various lookups in sysfs: e.g. /sys/class/net/brXXX/stp_state when it should use /sys/class/net/brXXX/bridge/stp_state. This doesn't cause any problems on most systems as it falls back to the ioctl when the sysfs attempt fails; however the ioctl method is apparently deprecated. I believe the

[Bridge] libbridge<->sysfs interface - some bugs
Hi, I think I detected some bugs in libbridge 1.2. Probably none detected them so far because of the fallback to ioctl() whenever anything fails. On my system (user 32 bits, kernel 64 bits) the fallback doesn't work. It would be nice BTW to have a compile time option that leaves the ioctl fallback out... Here's what I've found (first patch is a compilation patch I posted last

[Bridge] [PATCH] bridge-utils: fix sysfs path for setting bridge configuration parameters
Under newer kernels the bridge configuration parameters are located under /sys/class/net/$bridgename/bridge/$param, while the current bridge-utils code is trying to access them under /sys/class/net/$bridgename/$param. This patch fixes this issue in the bridge-utils code and so allows setting of bridge configuration parameters using sysfs under newer kernel versions. Signed-off-by: Anna Fischer

ipconfig related question (do not get static IP setting)
Hi!! I found your ipconfig stuff in the udev rpm in SuSE 9.1. I'm about to setup a initramfs (pretty cool - much better than initrd) to boot linux diskless clients over the net. All the tools I would need, seem to be there with ipconfig/nfsmount ... I like to use the information I get from PXE/syslinux or Etherboot writing something like:

[PATCH] virtio_console: Let unconnected rproc device receive data.
From: Sjur Br?ndeland <sjur.brandeland at stericsson.com> Allow rproc serial ports to receive data before the port is connected. Rproc serial ports usually talk to very simple remote devices with no control queue managing open/close events. So we must let remote devices write to the virtio ring even if the device is not yet fully initialized. Signed-off-by: Sjur Br?ndeland

[LLVMdev] SCCIterator and unconnected graphs
Hi, I am using the scc_iterator class in my code on a CallGraph, where some functions are not called from within the module. It seems that scc_iterator does not list all SCCs if the graph is not connected; only those nodes connected to the node pointed to by GraphTraits<...>::getEntryNode() are returned. Can someone verify this behavior? Any tips on how I should go about extending the

[Bridge] NIC unicast macs table manipulation by bridge
Using a Linux bridge I see that none of the interfaces is set to promiscuous mode but on the other hand I don't see any dev_unicast_xxx calls in the bridge code... for the case of one of the interfaces being a physical NIC (e.g eth1), what's the magic that makes the NIC RX filtering be willing to accept frames whos dest mac isn't the NIC "primary" unicast mac? Also is there

ipconfig and boot filename option
Hi, ipconfig is used in ltsp (thin clients) initramfs. Some of the users have to have 2 dhcp servers in ltsp environments, so they hit on this problem: The first dhcp request is from the pxe rom boot code. This code ignores any dhcp offers that don't have a filename field. So they always get the correct address, from the ltsp server. The second dhcp request (in initramfs) is done by

[PATCH 0/4] usr/kinit checkpatch
Various coding style fixes checkpatch warns about. The goal is not to be 100% checkpatch compliant, but to have more consistent coding style. As this is a trivial patch serie, will land in 24 hours in klibc git, unless of course ml review hits a bugger. Checked with size(3) that the generated kinit, fstype, ipconfig and nfsmount are the same. maximilian attems (4): [klibc] ipconfig: reduce
