hotplug for klibc utils
Several people have run into problems when attaching large disk arrays to a mainframe because of running /sbin/hotplug as a bash script takes far longer than the interval between hotplug events. Attaching more than 300 devices at once will cause an out-of-memory condition and the kernel starts killing random processes. Running only udev instead of hotplug from the kernel is fast enough.

[PATCH] build: sort sources to build in a more deterministic way
It has been observed that binaries contents are depending on the order of linked objects. This order is caused by GNU make's wildcard function and the position of sources on filesystem. This change tries to prevent this kind of randomness. Also consider building using -j1 flag to make it even more reproductible. Change-Id: Ie8eee7f336e6f1fa2863c4150d967afd15519f1d Bug:

Merge s390 and s390x into s390. Compiled and tested on s390/s390x and i386. Also cross compilation for s390/s390x tested. This patch shouldn't break the build of any architecture. spandsp, app_rxfax: apps_Makefile.patch v1.2 > v1.4 = No Workie!
Hi Guys, Looked at lotsa places on the Web/archives already. Does anyone have a Makefile for Asterisk 1.4 that integrates spandsp, app_rxfax, & app_txfax? This patch sure doesn't work with the Asterisk 1.4 Makefile: <http://soft-switch.org/downloads/spandsp/spandsp-0.0.2pre26/asterisk-1.2.x/apps_Makefile.patch> ==============================================================

[PATCH] xenstore-chmod
Hello, I''ve modified tools/xenstore/xenstore_client.c to include a new utility, xenstore-chmod. This utility permits developers and administrators to manually change the permissions on arbitrary locations in XenStore from the command line. This is often helpful if you''re trying to debug an application that relies on XenStore and is encountering difficulties with permissions.

[PATCH] better kbuild integration
Following patch improves integration with kbuild. With a future kernel (2.6.14-rc) it now has working support for 'make clean'. Included is an example of how to compile an early userspace program. I selected gzip as the most simple one for this - and left out all the links to different names (gunzip etc.) Before proceeding with this I need some inputs on what functionality is required by

[PATCH] R ignores PATH_MAX and fails in long directories (PR#14228)
Full_Name: Murray Stokely Version: 2.10.1 OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (216.239.45.4) The Defn.h header includes limits.h for PATH_MAX and then checks if it hasn't been defined and if not sets something manually. Some of the R code uses PATH_MAX but a lot of other functions in unix/sys-unix.c and main/startup.c just hardcodes a limit of 256 characters. In my environment this is not
