isspace() and other ctype.h functions
Hm, finally subscribed here, forgot to... Anyway, I'm using klibc in udev and have added some needed functions (like ftruncate and vsyslog). Should I post the patches here before commiting them to the cvs tree? Also, it looks like ctype.h has a off-by-one bug. isspace(' ') returns 0 right now, but if you change the function from: __ctype_inline int isspace(int __c) { return

Hi, Here are some new library functions for klibc. Some of them are required for udev, which currently has a klibc_fixups.c file that implements these functions. mh -- Martin Hicks Wild Open Source Inc. mort@wildopensource.com 613-266-2296 # This is a BitKeeper generated patch for the following project: # Project Name: The kernel C library # This patch format is intended

[PATCH 01/13] compiler.h: Split {READ, WRITE}_ONCE definitions out into rwonce.h
In preparation for allowing architectures to define their own implementation of the 'READ_ONCE()' macro, move the generic '{READ,WRITE}_ONCE()' definitions out of the unwieldy 'linux/compiler.h' and into a new 'rwonce.h' header under 'asm-generic'. [PATCH 0/5] resubmitting pending patches
Hi, I?ve gone through the mailing list archives and hereby want to resubmit my pending patches. Most are independent of each other, except the m68k patch which will only be complete if sigsuspend is also fixed. (It can be applied before that, though.) http://www.zytor.com/pipermail/klibc/2012-January/003173.html [PATCH] fix m68k support Resubmitted here as 0005. While there was a question from

[PATCH 18/18] arm64: lto: Strengthen READ_ONCE() to acquire when CLANG_LTO=y
When building with LTO, there is an increased risk of the compiler converting an address dependency headed by a READ_ONCE() invocation into a control dependency and consequently allowing for harmful reordering by the CPU. Ensure that such transformations are harmless by overriding the generic READ_ONCE() definition with one that provides acquire semantics when building with LTO. Signed-off-by:

Correlation Matrix with a Covariate
R Help - I'm trying to run a correlation matrix with a covariate of "age" and will at some point will also want to covary other variables concurrently. I'm using the "psych" package and have tried other methods such as writing a loop to extract semi-partial correlations, but it does not seem to be working. How can I accomplish this? library(psych) > set.cor(y =

Non-standard conformant usage of ctype functions
Hi, Per the definitions of the ctype functions in POSIX-1.2008 "the c argument is an int, the value of which the application shall ensure is a character representable as an unsigned char or equal to the value of the macro EOF. If the argument has any other value, the behavior is undefined." For obvious reasons this results in problems if you use signed char variables as parameters in

move rsync development tree to BitKeeper?
Andrew and I thought it might be an interesting experiment to move rsync to using BitKeeper rather than CVS for source code control. For a project with rsync's size and activity CVS is actually fine, but it would be a nice "toe in the water" with BitKeeper to get some practical experience before possibly using it on larger projects. BK is moderately well-proven on open source

[LLVMdev] moving to svn?

I'll actually comment on this one because we actually do use BitKeeper in my research group. It's a great tool, but it is not free anymore for open-source projects. migration to BitKeeper
If you only run released (rather than development) versions of rsync then you can skip this message. rsync's source tree has been converted from CVS to BitKeeper. This message contains brief instructions for people who want to track development or make contributions. I think it should take about 30-60 minutes to get started with BK. I hope you will agree that it is worthwhile. First

error: structure has no member named `rate''
I want to take the functionality that I found sitting in linux-2.6.8-rc2/net/sched/sch_netem.c for a test drive but I found that the /sbin/tc that I have does not have the necessary knobs. So I grabbed iproute2-2.6.X-ss040702.tar.gz and tried to build it, but I got this: q_netem.c: In function `netem_parse_opt'': q_netem.c:90: error: structure has no member named `rate''
