Need help configuring additional serial ports
I installed a 2 port serial PCI card on a system running CentOS 4.3, but I can't get the additional serial ports to work. The card I used is from StarTech (http://www.startech.com/Product/ItemDetail.aspx? productid=PCI2S550&c=US). When it is detected by kudzu, it shows up as a "NetMos Technologies PCI 9835 Multi I/O Controller". I've included the output of

Using VT-D to grant a Windows DomU access to a PCI Express graphics card?
I''ve also been trying to get hardware-accelerate Direct3D to work in a (Windows) DomU via VT-D. I''ve got a PCI NIC passing through fine, but not a graphics carrd. The points below describe where I''m at and what is happening. I''d appreciate any help anyone could offer, and also I have these specific questions: Is PCI Express supported by VT-D and/or

I think I finally have nailed down the problems with TFTP on the 4.10 branch, and so I have released 4.10-pre20. Please let me know if you have hardware on which 4.05/4.06-pre3 works, and 4.10-pre20 does not. -hpa -- H. Peter Anvin, Intel Open Source Technology Center I work for Intel. Upgrade to CentOS8
Hi Leon, I don't have the infra (nor the knowledge or expertise) to create a LiveCD I didn't think about Fedora. This is indeed a good pointer, I will definitely try that Actually, I'm not too worried about the basics, but rather about the wifi, audio & video drivers (one of the boxes is a multimedia system) Thanks!

Centos 4.3 and Card Reader
CentOS 4.3 (fully updated, including CentOS Plus kernel). Running KDE 3.5.2 (fully updated from redhat.kde repo). I can't seem to get the OS to recognize my SD card when inserted into my USB card reader. Mepis 6 Beta 3 has no problem with it. DMESG sees nothing happening when the card is inserted. USB-STORAGE module is loaded.
