Bignums, integers and migrations
Hi. I''m using a migration to extract data from one table, to another. In
the process I also convert ip-adresses to integers, for insertion in the
new table.
Problem is that migrations doesn''t seem to handle large numbers very
well. The conversion works fine from the script/console, but when
running it from migrations only very low IP-ranges "make it thru".

[LLVMdev] Recent libc++ failures due to libunwind
Hi,
During last 2-3 days I started to get some new regressions from the
libc++ testsuite, one of them is
std/containers/sequences/list/list.modifiers/insert_iter_iter_iter.pass.cpp
.
When run under gdb this seems to be a crash under libunwind code:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Samba 3.0.9/10, missing 'net rap printq list' on HP-UX?
I have only this platform to try it on, but observe the following
inconsistencies:
(from the manpage for 'net'):
RAP PRINTQ
RAP PRINTQ LIST QUEUE_NAME
Lists the specified print queue and print jobs on the server. If the
QUEUE_NAME is omitted, all queues are listed.
...OK, so:
[novosirj@njmsa ~]> /products/samba/bin/net rap printq list ljndemo
No command: list

suspend to ram does not work with Geforce 310M (NVA8)
Hello.
Minimal testcase for my problem: No X running, just a TTY. Use of the nouveau
kernel module as of today (or any older) with an up to date vanilla kernel.
Hardware: DELL Vostro 3500 with Geforce 310M.
To suspend to ram I use this script, as suggested in
Documentation/power/s2ram.txt:
#!/bin/sh
sync
echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace
echo mem > /sys/power/state

Printjob stuck spooling
Hi,
I'm trying to remove a printjob that is currently blocking the printque
for one of my users.
I've tried to access the printer from the user and delete it there, but
this doesn't help. Cups does not show the job at all.
I therefore tried to access the printspool via sambas net printq
command.
With net, I can find the job, and the jobid, but when I try to use
net rap printq

SMBTorture tests on HP UX IA64 - Samba 4.5.3 without AD DC
Hi Samba Team,
We are testing Samba 4.5.3 without AD DC on HP UX IA64 with samba
SMBTorture as test clients. We are running all tests in SMBTorture.
Samba server failed about 75% of RAW tests ,16% of BASE tests ,90% of
DCE/RPC protocol and interface tests (rpc), 50% of Remote Administration
Protocol tests (rap)
100% of DFS referrals calls (dfs) and other test with minimum failures.

[PATCH 0 of 4 V2] oxenstored fixes -- fixes recent pvops kernel hang
Currently PVHVM Linux guests after ddacf5ef684a "xen/pv-on-hvm kexec:
add xs_reset_watches to shutdown watches from old kernel" hang when
run against oxenstored because it does not handle the unknown
XS_RESET_WATCHES operation and does not reply.
The symptom of this issue is a hang during boot at this point:
cpu 1 spinlock event irq 70
CPU 1 irqstacks, hard=dec94000

Publish printer into ADS
Hi,
I'd like to publish the printer queues on a SAMBA server to a Win2k native
mode ADS. Apparently, the command fails due to NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE--the
output below is when run as root.
# net ads printer publish "tall" -d 2

Printing on a Window Client from AIX
Hi all...
First, thank you to Matt Chapman for pointing out why I could not connect to a
non-domain participating machine. I needed to have a local account on that
machine (it wasn't checking back with the domain controllers as I thought it
would). I guess I'm going to have to start venturing out of the UNIX world and
into the NT one. Scary :-)
Either way, I now successfully am

Phoronix Xen vs KVM vs Virtualbox benchmark with Ubuntu 11.10
Hello,
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=ubuntu_1110_xenkvm&num=1
Ubuntu 11.10 with Xen 4.1.1 and Linux 3.0.
Xen seems to be doing very poorly on that benchmark.
If someone has time to repeat that benchmark it would be good..
Comparing the results to those from Stefano from XenSummit 2011 NA there has be something wrong..
the results at XenSummit were pretty much the
